What struck me about that case, which only barely glanced off my attention to be honest, as it is more amusing and pathetic than anything, was that the women being sued found it extremely difficult to get legal representation in Vancouver, because of the nature of the case.
That is where the specific gets universalised - that is where PC has gone mainstream. It's not just about one blithering gobshyte going around trying to force 16 different women to handle his c0ck, despite said gobdaw knowing there are plenty of places in Vancouver that will wax girl dicks (or whatever). The equipment needed is different for a start. The ''plaintiff'' was lucky he didn't meet a bolshie women with a strong grip who would have told him to hop up there on the table and we'll see what we can do for ya.

While you're absolutely right in saying that is exactly what a lot of firms do, I don't think you can deny that more likely than not a good number of the firms contacted simply just didn't want the case because of the hassle and negative publicity that would no doubt follow.

I'd say for cases like these the best bet would be some non-profit organisation, similarly to what happened with the gay cake nonsense.

Her parents wanted a female counsellor as she was so scared to be around men, even family members. She was assigned a "self identified transwoman" - 6 foot plus, tattoos and brick sh**house build. She was terrified.

It's already happened - a male prisoner identifies as a woman, goes to a women's prison and assaults inmates. It will get worse.

I am a staunch ally of the LGBT community, and genuinely trans people are in my reckoning, horrified by the crap they are seeing around gender. People who have gone through surgeries, medical and psychiatric treatment etc to become the sex they should have been born - lumped in with some lunatic sort who believes there are 73 genders and you can swop from one to t'other daily!

There is already a trans woman in Canada who has been on a years long legal vendetta against a rape crisis center who declined to hire them as a counselor citing the needs of their female patients for female only caregivers. I mean, the center and the women who use it are respectfully saying no but they feel entitled to bulldoze their way in there anyway. Where does this mentality come from?

I don't know. Gender dysphoria cannot be critically studied at the moment as it is a hot potato no one wants to handle. Irrational hatred may be as likely as a proposed theory of autogynophelia. The whole area is impossible to study now as it is forbidden to think of the condition as in any way pathological. Which has caused some problems in itself...if something is not pathological why should related medical procedures be subsidised by the state? It's indeed a fine line the ideologues walk.
