Names too similar??

    Babyis due soon (little girl) and one of our favourite names we were going to pick is Mia. However my brother and his wife (who live close by) have names their 8 week old Leah.

    We are debating are the names too similar?

    Nope. I wouldn't not pick Ryan because my brother nearby had picked Brian, for example.

    They sound similar but they're not really

    Two totally different names for cousins so go for it. Now if you already had you own child called Leah + then choose Mia wouldn't be ideal because you would always be saying too names together.

    Isn’t Mia pronounced “my -ya” , and is a boys name? As short for Michael. Or is that a Cork thing?

    Leah is Lee-a , so different vowel sounds there entirely.

    No it can be pronounced Meee a or My a + is definitely a girls name

    As in Cha and Miah? That would be pretty old school Cork. I’d say Mia as a girls name would be more common now
