    Hi all,

My GF tried to purchase something off a website called instaxfilmeuro.com and it sounds very dodgy to me. She submitted card details and nothing happened when she tried to make the purchase.

Does anybody know anything about this site or if it's dodgy? I'm thinking she should cancel her card.

    Thanks

    Look fierce dodgy to me.
If it was my OH I'd be telling them to cancel the card. I could be wrong, but its not a chance I'd take

Agreed. She tried to use 2 different cards but lucky enough both could be blocked using the bank apps. We'll get them cards replaced I think.

    Thanks for your input.

Very clearly a scam. The website was only registered a few weeks ago.

How did you figure that out if you don't mind me asking? Would be useful to know in future.

If it seems too good to be true it is.

Whilst the site is better than most scam sites, its definitely a scam.

No contact details, no company details (as required by law), dodgy domain name etc etc.

Yep, I'd be cancelling the card pronto if the CVV number was required.

I agree. Their Facebook and Twitter links are just https://www.facebook.com/# and https://www.twitter.com/#

Fuji's own website for Instax is just http://instax.com/

Just checked the prices. €20 for an Instax camera? Seem to be around €70 everywhere else? The old adage of "if it seems to good to be true.." comes into play.

    I'd definitely cancel.

Not all websites, or companies, on the internet are subject to European directives or Irish law.

However, there are contact details here - https://instaxfilmeuro.com/contact_us.html

    I agree website looked too good to be true, so I wrote to Fuji UK and got the following answer;

Thank you for contacting FUJIFILM UK.
Please do not attempt to purchase any products from the website as the website appears to be fraudulent.
Please visit our UK FUJIFILM online shop to purchase any instax products. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
