Running headlights

Hi, Can anyone recommend a good headlight for running? Looking for something that will light up the roads rather than just to be seen as I plan to be running on country roads. Thanks.

There's a load of options out there, from cheap and cheerful, to expensive and amazing. Which would be best depends on your criteria.

How good/bad is your night vision?
Is weight important?
Is battery life important?
Is maximum power output important?
Is constant output important?
would a range of settings be important?
Is waterproofness a requirement?
USB recharable vs standard batteries
Bangernomics vs quality?

For my own use, I don't need a "see" torch on roads, just "be seen" lights. At the same time my best lamp will light up roads better than a lot of cars I've been in!
