I am weeks away from getting the keys for a new build which we put a deposit on in April.

Single applicant 2 dependants misses not on mortgage. Between keeping your bank accounts sweeky clean for 6months prior then for another 9 months, watching ever direct debit, standing order , credit card.

To the minefield of getting life cover. To having to get a mortgage extension after 6 months.

The whole process could age you ten years

Let alone those dealing with the uncertainty of bidding

There is so much involved glad to be almost at the end of it all, after 15 months of 4200 after tax income, 30k in cash between deposit ftb fees stamp duty for 260k

I still won't believe it till they hand over the keys

Snag list insurance and drawn down is next.

In the end 900 a month , plus life cover insurance . for our own palace but its long stressful process.
