Cable management was a nightmare with the glass panel on the back of this case but I think its ok?

Fair play. Nice clean build.

That must be a revised edition of the 570X as they used have an open fronted PSU shroud and also no cable grommet on top of it either.
Good to see they changed that.

I've them on my wishlist for ages now but they hardly ever go down in price. You get the controllers with them so i suppose it's not too bad.

If they get discounted tomorrow i'll probably pull the trigger.

Fans are great and its basically a Corsair system so i can use the iCue system to get everything working together.

I bought the triple pack. The single pack doesn't come with the lighting controller so you'd have to buy that separately or the Commander Pro.

The lighting node pro and commander pro will only work if all 6 fans are the same so if you have SP's get more SP's etc.

Robertr. I presume you had to change out the fan controller that came with the case in order for it to work with the LL120's? Can you still control the fan speed?

The fan hub that comes with the 570x is only for the RGB lights, fan speed still controlled by the Mobo. Fans have two connectors, one for pwm control and the other for the lights.

Drop the monitor and get a larger freesync 2 model.
Nvidia are now supporting gsync on freesync monitors with a driver in the next 1-2 weeks or so , so no point in paying extra for a gsync monitor.
I’ll be selling mine and swapping to a freesync as well.

well you don't know if a specific Freesync monitor will be of any use yet for that as there hasn't been enough testing and reporting on individual monitors

that PG278QR is at its lowest price point for a year, it is a TN model so colour accuracy will be less than an IPS, viewing angles also not great but who looks at their monitor from the sides or above or below

g2g latency on the PG278QR is one of the best with it being TN, the nearest equivalent would be the Dell 27" Gsync at around £430, the prices go up from there for IPS equivalents with higher latency

definitely need to be very careful if buying a Freesync monitor and expect it to be gsync compatible, the NVIDIA drivers opening this up were released today and I am reading on reddit of many people with Freesync monitors testing with new drivers having issues where gsync compatibility isn't working correctly

really need confirmations of a specific monitor that somebody is interested in and how it runs to be sure its gsync compatible, NVIDIAs testing 400 Freesync monitors and only 12 passing fully might not be as far fetched as it sounded

It could well be the case that only 12 of the 400 tested actually made the grade but there is also the fact Nvidia can't really come out and say all these monitors work perfectly well with our cards but pay extra for G-sync anyways!



There are threads on Reddit in both r/monitors and r/nvidia, where users are running tests and posting their results with the vast majority of the Freesync monitors tested seeming to work fine with Nvidia cards.

yeah that's what I was looking at, but the point I am trying to make is; if you select a Freesync monitor with an NVIDIA card, then I would be researching that specific monitor in detail to see how compatible it is with gsync and if there are any dealbreakers

there are plenty of yes it works on the google docs link highlighted in yellow with caveats, whether these will upset the potential owner of Freesync monitor is up to the individual

to reiterate, it seems to me that plenty of Freesync monitors work fine perfectly; but some also still have niggling issues that would annoy the hell out of somebody

ie. turn on and off monitor if flickering starts, ghosting issues where you change screen mode to fix, random screen flickers, brightness issues

I know I would want to be sure what I am getting myself into and not have to be doing workarounds, I just want it to work

his sample of 7 all worked great bar the one that was using HDMI which of course was not supported and didn't work, the thing is though on reddit there are many reports of issues, so it really needs to be confirmed once the dust has settled on any potential monitor purchase to be sure it works buttery smooth
