Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

One of my deliveries to a week to get from the local depot to my house.

All my An Post deliveries have taken an extra day in Ireland to get to me.

I’ve one that was supposed to be delivered yesterday that hasn’t even shown up on their tracking yet.

Yes on two and received refunds on both. One 3 days late, one 4. Coming from the EU warehouse so no tracking

Is Amazon mainly to blame for these slow deliveries?

Is Amazon mainly to blame for these slow deliveries?

One of mine was missing the last two lines of the address so yes in that case. Second amazon delivery in 2 months that had address issues (other one left off the first line) even though I've used the same address forever. The other one was probably a casualty of the storm last week

Did you have to send both items back after getting the refund? And did you ask for the refund or did they offer it to you?

Ive an item that I ordered 11 days ago and was supposed to be delivered today according to the tracking, but it never came.

Didn't have to return anything. In both cases I contacted them when it was a day late and they said if it didn't arrive the next day they would refund, and they did.

An Post are truly brutal currently. One package couldn't be delivered to my school at 1p.m. last Thursday, the school was open all day:confused: gave them my local post office as a new location and the tracker said they delivered it 2.30 p.m. Friday. 5pm it wasn't there. Monday 5 p.m. still not there, it was there Tuesday. Another package was failed to deliver twice last week and again yesterday, again to a school which was open when the tracker said it couldn't be delivered, maybe tomorrow.
Post mistress said the new system they are running is at breaking point, you can see why.

Any body having issues with delivery of Blu-ray's etc. Loads from amazon.co.uk, sold direct by Amazon are coming up as not being able to ship to ireland, Coco and three billboards outside ebbing are two examples of many at the moment and I have no idea why. They have never restricted Blu-ray's shipping

Online orders are through the roof this year. I work for an electrical retailer. Way up on last year. All the planning and extra staff organised for black Friday, it still was not enough. Lucky we could hire extra bodies short term quite quickly.

Spoke to an An Post Depot and it's the same.

Be patient and prepared to wait that bit longer.

All my stuff due today just changed from arriving today to arriving 5th to 12th December

  • Administrators, Computer Games Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 32,406 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭Mickeroo

Ordered 7 items on Sunday, 2 came yesterday 4 today, one not due until next Sunday but it had that date on it from the get go.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,488 ✭✭✭Macy0161

Had to get on to Amazon twice about a lack of delivery date for one of my orders. Only on responding to their 2nd reply (which was a copy and paste/ duplicate automatic reply) did it finally move on.

Have a few going via addresspal, which I'm slightly concerned about at this stage though. It's worked brilliantly up until this point, but have a (non-amazon) package in the an post black hole somewhere between hatfield and home...

Anyone have experience of ordering booze from Amazon? Did you do it though PM, PW, AP?

I'm tempted by a Redbreast in today's deals of the day...

Was at the lower price earlier when I posted, may have been a lightning sale. It might go down again. Hadnt checked the postage, just figured it would be no more than a tenner.

I see the original FireStick is back down to 25. Can someone clarify, with an Irish Prime Video Sub, Prime (Irish content) and Netflix will work without messing around bar the device settings?

I've tried searching the thread, but it doesn't seem clear (to me at least!). At the moment I have Prime Video and Netflix for the family on an Android Box, but want to move that elsewhere!

  • Administrators, Computer Games Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 32,406 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭Mickeroo

Netflix will work perfectly but with the Irish prime it will be russian roulette whether you can actually play a lot of the content that you see on the device.

Thinking of getting a paperwhite kindle. There's £10 difference between the one with ads/sponsored content and without......worth it? I know I've read if you contact Customer Services they'll remove this for you but I read on the site they will now charge for this. Any thoughts?

If you're getting the amazon cover as well, you actually won't really notice the difference - better save the 10 quid.

I have a regular Irish Netflix and it is working fine.
It was very easy to change from Ireland to UK digital content via the Amazon live chat if you would consider it. I had changed it back in August before I got the firestick on Black Friday though.

Just some info for those looking to get changed from Ireland to UK region for prime video. I've just done it, took about 30 seconds. Like others have said, no questions asked, no hassle. I had the Parcel Motel postcode handy just incase they looked for it but they didn't.

I went to the contact us page.
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/contact-us

Digital Content and Services --> Prime Video -->Video included with Prime

    The chat log is below.

    Quote:
Me: Hi, I am looking to get my prime video region changed to the UK.
You're now connected to Mahith from Amazon.co.uk

Mahith: Hello. I'm Mahith, I'll be glad to assist you.
    Done!
    Could you please try now?

    Me: Ok, one moment.
That is working now. Thank you

    Mahith: Perfect!
My pleasure, is there anything else I may assist you with? I'll be glad to

Me: No that was it. Thank you very much.

Mahith: It was an immense pleasure assisting you.
Enjoy the rest of your night.
    Take care.
    Cheers!
If I was helpful in assisting you I would request you to go ahead and take the survey after you end the chat.

The ads are just a screensaver, I barely notice them.
