    Hi Guys,

I bought the Yamaha YAS-306 soundbar from you guys about 2 years ago and am considering upgrading. My query is, taking into account that the Yamaha is quite a good soundbar, would the Sony soundbar below be that much of an upgrade in terms of sound quality?

    Many thanks

    Hi Hendrickp,

The YAS306 is a fantastic soundbar. I think the Sony would be an upgrade though because of the wireless subwoofer. It will add much more depth to the system and sound better for films. Saying that though I still prefer the Yamahas for clarity. I would recommend something like the Yamaha YSP2700 as it is a significant step up however it is at a much higher price point at £689.

Let me know what you think.

    Kind regards

    David

    Hi David,

Thanks very much for the feedback. As you have said the Yamaha is still a very good soundbar and it would need to be a serious upgrade for me to consider changing and I thought with the Sony having Atmos and DTS-X that it would be far superior. I think i'll be sticking with the Yamaha for now.
    Thanks again.
