As part of our commitment to celebrate diversity in the workplace and helping our communities to thrive, Bank of Ireland is teaming up with Transgender Equality Network of Ireland (TENI) to help raise awareness about the issues that transgender people face in the workplace and also to provide information and guidance on practical issues for transgender people along with their colleagues, families and allies.

Despite significant progress in recent years, Ireland remains a place where it is difficult for trans people to lead safe, healthy and integrated lives. November is Transgender Awareness Month and this global event is a time for transgender people and their allies to bring attention to the community and to help advance advocacy around the issues of prejudice, discrimination, and violence that transgender people face.

During November, Bank of Ireland and TENI will host a number of Talking Transgender sessions around Ireland. They invite colleagues and our communities who are interested in learning more about some of the challenges our transgender customers, colleagues and communities face to attend, and to learn what practical steps we can take to help.

Members of the public are welcome to attend these sessions, which will be one hour in duration with a safe space following for more private interaction for those who may have specific issues or questions.

If you are interested in learning more about the Transgender Community and how we can all support, you can register for any of the ROI events below:
