Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Changing rads - Sizes

I have a rad where the incoming pipe is hot but rad doesn't heat. I am guessing the rad is blocked with gunk or valve. I've tried tapping the incoming and outgoing valves in case that's the problem to no avail. I cannot bleed it as bleed screw head is rung. As I can't bleed it, I'm assuming I can't reinstall it so I need to replace. So......

If I do replace, I can't seem to see a standard size online. Its length is 1280mm. I can't see anything remotely close on any site. Its all standard sizes in 100mm increments. Its a standard 15 year old rad. I see screwfix do extension pieces. Is this normal?

    Any ideas?

I think Quinns do 1250 MM rads?, if so then you are only extending the telescopic tail pieces by 15 mm on each side, if a 1300 mm rad will physically fit then the tail pieces will extend "too far" by 10 MM (less than 1/2") on either side, after attaching one side you (or your plumber) may be able to slide the rad fractionally to one side to enable to get the other pipe attached and then center up the rad, a lot will depend on the 1/2 ins pipework whether done in copper or not.
