Having an issue with my sisters Astec 63D alarm
I put this alarm in for her about 10 years ago now out of the blue it will not set
Front Door has combined Entry ( blue dot ) sensor / contact and PIR in hallway Zone 1
when trying to set alarm panel shows Zone 1 contact entry and the buzzer does not start system will not arm
The contact appears to work fine in part guard system arm's & works ok
Clear view 1 shows the contact opening closing when opening closing the door

What I have done so far to rectify
Checked and re'checked programming ( ok ) entry and exit zones including IR
Replaced the combined shock sensor with one from rear door zone 4 ( no change)
Tested the end of line resistor ( ok )
removed mains removed battery link left for 30 seconds ( no change )

Yesterday I defaulted the panel and reprogrammed ( no change )
still shows zone 1 contact entry and alarm wont set
in part guard system works ok and if i open the front door it starts the entry / exit buzzer

Any thoughts / suggestions much appreciated
    Thanks

It could be the input is gone.
It might also be the PiR is not closing.
When you enter engineer & press clear 11 what displays?

    Thanks for your reply
In engineer clear 11 shows the zone 1 Infared entry activating only when you move in front of it then returns to - when no movement
If I open the front door it says zone 1 contact entry

Do you think it might be worth swapping zones 1 & 2 and reprogram

    Thanks again

Worth a try to see if the problem moves from 1 to 2 .
