Loved every moment of it - Grohl is some front man - his rapport with the audience was just brill - thankfully we were in the stands in Block G - and had a fantastic view and dry - but looking over the pitch at everyone jumping with their arms up - was a WOWZER moment - as was the phones lit up. I left there on a total high - it truly was Happy Birthday to me - (and several other people that day - by the looks of things) :-) Still floating after it. Thanks FFs - come back sooooonnnnn (And loved Frank Carter as support - WOW) J X

    Fair enough summary.

I'd image it's hard to keep coming up with new ways to indulge the crowd and make each show seem unique.

I'd disagree about Dave crawling up his own hole though, wouldn't strike me as that type but he does crawl up Taylor's which is a bit OTT at this stage of their relationship.

Feel kinda sorry for Nate & Pat seeing as they being the longest serving dudes with little fan fare

Taylor has been in the band longer than Pat has. Pat took an eight-year hiatus between 1997 and 2005.

    Obviously video call?

Yes. Though supposedly RTE were trying to get him into the studio for an in-person interview, but Grohl and his management made it clear that 'This Is A Call'.

He had an Irish physio or something that helped him through his leg injury

Yup, he was side stage at the RDS gig....we all had to say ‘fuk you Freddie’ and then he dedicated my hero to him!

At least that started with The Pretender and promised something...

Nearly 10 years since Wasting Light and the last one I enjoyed.

His Mam is Irish too. From Cork I think and he told some story about holidaying in Kerry with her before at the gig in Slane. And yeah, that physio is from Tipp.

Ah Sonic Highways has its moments (Congregation, I am a River)....but yes, Wasting Light was the last really good album! Haven't listened to the new one yet, might give it a go this evening.

I read about him after, basically he was a physio that travelled wherever you needed, instead of having a full time office. Nice lineup of former clients

Yea as much of a massive Foo's fan I am, I dont think we will ever get an album as good as Wasting Light again, the last few albums have been alright but at least there live shows make up for it 10 fold imo.

I also got an email from Ticketmaster this morning with Foo Fighters in the subject and got excited for a a gig announcement but it was just the album had been released.
