Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That trumpet player is giving it socks on the Anthem.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,366 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Not a bum note in that anthem. Tip of the hat.

Also, I didn't see the first game live but it seems the bears have more reason to be happy. They have a mini bye and have seen what their back up QB can do. Not a bad few days for bears fans.

Three divisional games in 11 days, and got through them 3-0. That's good drinking weather in any man's language. I don't really care too much about the rest of the games today but damned of I'm going to stop drinking beer and watching football now...

(Yes I'm drunk, we're having the dinner late...)

I'd just like to say I'm thankful for Eddie Jackson breaking his leg in college, for the chiefs being good on offense last year, and for Jon gruden being as thick as a box of rocks.

cowboys have cracked this game open fast , two quick tds to cooper woeful tackling by skins .Then colt mc coy tosses it straight to demarcus lawrence game over and probaly washingtons season.

    Dallas are winning this division.

Killer fumble by Julio there. Falcons were primed to put points on the board before HT.

Dungy is great on commentary. He should be doing this every week instead of studio work.

Im struggling to see how this saints offense can be stoppped , brees threw four TD passes yesterday to lewis, kirkwood, carr and arnold (who?) they can attack you in so many ways.Their defense gave up a lot of big plays through the air still last night but they come up with huge turnovers at vital times and really thats all they need 2 or 3 turnovers a game and that offense will do the rest.Super bowl champs elect for me.

That's pretty much my summation looking at the highlights this morning.

My managers manager is flying in tomorrow morning and I’d like to bring him to a pub showing football tomorrow night in the city centre. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Woolshed is easily the best place in town for football. Few other spots show it but if you want somewhere with an atmosphere and lots of people actually watching rather than it being on in the background, it's the only game in town really.

Thank you so much for that. He’s in Ireland for the first time ever and I want to make sure that he enjoys the evening.

Lamar Jackson gets his second start today playing the Raiders

As fun n'all as it was seeing your QB rush 27 times he will be headhunted doing that.

His wobbly passes in training camp looked awful compared to Flacco but the coaches say he has progressed and today he will get to prove it. The offence will be a bit more conventional

I've no expectation of the Ravens making the playoffs but we should really be beating the Raiders

This eagles vs Giants game could be a hard game to get through.

I'm watching the Patriots but that would be my first choice if the Patriots weren't playing. I think it'll be high scoring.

That was pretty easy for the Giants

Yep too bloody easy. The flag for 12 guys in the huddle by the Giants gave me a bit of hope. Jim Schwartz needs to go at the end of the season.

Well 3 and out for the eagles.

Pats starting very sloppy again, down 7 to the Jets

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,638 ✭✭✭phatkev

Jets get a TD in the first quarter, been a while since I've seen that happen!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,638 ✭✭✭phatkev

Todd Bowles never fails to disappoint me!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,778 ✭✭✭Big Pussy Bonpensiero

Gronk is back! Great catch for a TD.
Jets had a OPI on 3rd and 2 and went for 3rd and 12 instead of 4th and 2.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,366 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Golden tate was clearly a mistake of a trade. He's done nothing of note at all.

Cracking TD throw from Josh Allen

Pretty standard move from the Jets coaching staff

Bull**** call in the eagles game. That's was barely a hand on the Giants player.

Browns putting a beating on Cinci. Surely break there away win curse today.

    Mayfield is on fire

Watching the Browns play well is delightful.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,234 ✭✭✭VillaMad

This is amazing by the Browns.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,638 ✭✭✭phatkev

Browns D back just picked of the ball and handed it straight to Hue Jackson, brutal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

That’s very cowardly from John Brown. He needs to be much braver, take the hit and make an attempt to catch that ball. It was a good throw by Lamar and should have been caught for a TD.

Aaaaand there’s the weekly Ravens season ending injury, this time on Tony Jefferson :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,638 ✭✭✭phatkev

Hell of a TD catch from Nick Chubb!! Mayfield is on Fire

Browns DB hands the intercepted ball to Hue Jackson lol

What could have been for the Browns this season if they had the cop on to dump Hue at the end of a 0-16 season

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,085 ✭✭✭✭BonnieSituation

    Aye it is.

The Hue Jackson effect in full flow in Cinci.

“First down bitch, **** you mean” says Jared Cook clear as day to the sideline microphone

I wonder if players or the network get a fine when this happens ha

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,366 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Zach ertz breaking tackles and it's a one score game. So there is some fight in this team.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,778 ✭✭✭Big Pussy Bonpensiero

Patriots struggling against the Jets. 10-10 with 3 secs left to HT. A dire game so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

    Lamar is nowhere near ready.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Sony Michel could be in trouble, he was bent backwards awkwardly.

Walked off so should be fine.

Very lucky though. If he had been bent much further he might not have played another down of football. Looked exactly like the injury that forced Johnny Knox to retire.

A flag on nearly every play in the Pats Jets game, this is awful viewing

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,972 ✭✭✭mikemac2

13 runs, 1 pass for a Ravens TD drive

    Hey it works!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,778 ✭✭✭Big Pussy Bonpensiero

Shocking D from the Pats on that 3rd down.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

Ravens finally decide to start running the ball and look what happens!
