Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

His actual kids are readin this ****, the ones he tried to screw over by not paying his ex wife.

Regardless of the **** he pulled in the FAI, thats one fcuking scumbag right there for fcuking over his own kids.

No matter what happens now there is no way he can come back. I know he might have the balls to try but this is it we can finally say it is over for him.

So how many more weeks are the Sunday Times going to drag out this drip, drip, drip release of this story?

My understanding is there is more then one year under scrutiny and there is questions over at least 3 years accounts.

    H4 doesn't specify a year.

Why blow your load at week one releasing every bit of info you've got when you can space it out and keep people talking about JD in the news for weeks. Obviously helps them sell more papers also but I like this drip feeding of info as it gives you something to read every Sunday and keeps JD in the news every week now.

I have no problem at all with a long drip fed media barrage which sees him 'suffer'.

It also makes it harder for him to brazen his way out of this when nobody knows what else they have on him. Better to digest these nuggets for a couple of days, then throw another one into the pot.

It also probably comes down the fact that they're still digging/investigating and clearly finding even more dirt.

John Delaney issued an instruction to the FAI’s finance department to pay his then girlfriend €15,000 in 2014, internal records seen by The Sunday Times show.

The FAI’s Sage accountancy system records a total of €60,000 in “professional fee” payments in the name of Susan Keegan in late 2013 and early 2014, at a time when she was the chief executive’s girlfriend. Neither Delaney, who has been on “gardening leave” since last Monday, nor the FAI, has offered an explanation as to what the payments were for.

    It's getting worse for JD.

Surely there's no invoice if the instruction has to come from the CEO.

I'm sure he's got a very tidy nest egg she can siphon off for a few years yet. Payments for the blowjobs are finally going to get noticed though by JD. There could be a conscious uncoupling sooner than that

Jesus Christ, I had Delaney down as being more clever than this if it is what it looks like.

Im in my element, ive been beating the " FAI are dysfunction " drum for about 20 years and more so since Sepp Delaney got his greasy grip on the association, but it goes much deeper than the board, there are people af much lower levels tgst need yo be removed too. A total purge is needed here, great opportunity to start afresh.

He has to be getting the message on the public's distaste for him. I was in Dublin Airport picking up the folks when Delaney arrived through the gate. He must have been flying back from Frankfurt and he got plenty of stick from a few members of Joe Public when spotted! I dont at all feel sorry for him but that permasmug look on his face was not there and he look fooked - on the lash the night before and realised he had to pay for his own drinks!?

Couldn't even pay a woman to be with him and stay with him. Poor John.

the Daily Mail version suggests the 60k payment was made by the FAI to settle a human relations dispute between two people working for the FAI who were in a relationship.

Surprised it is so quiet here. This revelation has potential to be worst of the lot. 60k in professional fees. Should it have been out to tender? If the woman did not get the money, where did it go? Who's account was it in the name of if it wasn't hers? Should someone be going to jail?!!

I was thinking the same but also a big day of Premier League action would have attention diluted a bit. Mainly though as stated above, I think people are desensitised to what comes out now so far as we are expecting it at this stage.

JD will go down as an infamous one like many before him, he’s a busted flush now credibility shot to bits, and really, who knows where it’s all going to end up for him and others collectively. There’s by product issues arising now as a result of it all, Waterford’s Europe saga during the week etc, but one I found particularly sad was John Giles on OTB the other evening having to defend his name and foundation to the point he was clearly getting upset.

That’s the knock on effect the actions of this leech is having on people and groups. Anyone still defending him because of a manipulative drip feed of sh!te he fed you while handing over allocated tax payers grant funding in person, get your heads out of his arse and see the wood for the trees.

I've also got the sense people are becoming desensitised. I think there's a feeling of being helpless spectators because all this crazy stuff emerges and nothing seems to happen.

Jail time would be the ideal scenario but very unlikely.

I wonder have Sunday Times started looking into a few of his cronies? A certain pritt stick will be getting nervous by now .

This drip feeding of fraudulent activities is marvellous. Don't know if it's all part of planned campaign from the start against Delaney and the FAI, or if they're simply uncovering stuff as they go, but it's hard to see how any of these crooks can survive it.

I think this latest piece is the nail in the coffin.

The 60k professional fees for his ex might have been legal fees or something.

What exactly was her job ?

Cyronyism and nepotism yes, faurd or anything illegal, maybe not.

    Hahahaha, supermodel. Jesus wept :D

But it’s not her the 60k went to, it was some other one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,558 ✭✭✭✭yabadabado

It was recorded by the FAI as 3 separate payments that amounted to 60k .Marked as Professional fees to Susan Keegan. No invoices and no real idea what the money was for or who actually got it.Ms Keegan had no job at the FAI as far as anyone knows.

She is denying she received this payment and apparently some board members were never told about it.

    Its seems very fishy

To date despite all the implied wrong doings, has there been anything illegal in any of the reported dealings?

Investigators are currently looking into the legalities of it all which could take months even years. As regards implied wrong doings? The implied bit can be left out, there has been plenty wrong done.

Well, the Revenue and ODCE are having a look.

AGS mightn’t be far behind them.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that but she isnt!!

Delaney's comments on Sepp leering at her, and the explitive laden conversations with the same chap is rather amusing especially with hindsight. It sounded more that they clashed as they were quite alike. Like doleing out money to smaller members of the assoiation/federation to keep the votes coming. Sepp making financial transactions like topping up salaries as he pleased. The clips rolled out from John the Baptist, the Ray Darcy interview. It all seems even more contrived to hide the real man!

Roy Keane observations when managing Ipswich may have been the most astute regardless of beef!

Ah yes the independent investigation run by the association. Sounds very independent. They will hide behind these investigations for months hoping it will blow over. The report won't be made public either.
