Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Any reason not to connect hot feed to washing machine?

The washing machine I have has both a hot and cold feed. Only the cold is connected.
Is there anything in terms of best practice that would advise against connecting the hot feed as well?
Pretty much infinite supply of hot water, non bio gels and powders only.

More to the point how do you manage a" pretty much infinite hot water supply" .

That's an old machine. To get A energy ratings washing machines don't have a hot supply anymore. The machine asked for hot water & opens the hot inlet. Problem is that it had to take in 6 litres of cold water before the hot from the hot water cylinder reached the machine. It had to heat this cold water. Also it then left 6 litres of hot water in the pipe only for it to go cold.

The washing machine is more economic to run with only a cold supply. Less wasteful

Even with the two pipe system it just used the hot for The rarely used boil wash.

    Cheers lads,
Would be a wasted effort so. It's a two year old machine by the way, albeit a cheap one.

My mistake. I thought hot feed was done away with years ago.
