    Hello,

    I recieved my Philips https://www.richersounds.ie/p-203602-philips-50pus6703-50-inch-4k-ultra-hd-hdr-smart-led-tv-ambilight-freeview-play.aspx yesterday and its fantastic.  One little thing is bothering me though.

    When I change a channel on my iptv box using the iptv remote the philips tv guide pops up and I have to press the back button each time to go back into the station. This does not happen when I use my Sky Q box.  So far I tried removing the batteries from the philips remote  just incase the button was faulty. I tried reinstalling the tv again from scratch. 

    Any suggestions on how to get the philips tv guide to stop popping up each time I change channel on the iptv box?

    Very strange issue.

    I wonder is the two remotes somehow share a button that operates features on each all be it a random feature.
    I'm not familiar with IPTV boxes. Does it have a brand?

    Is it both channel up and down that cause this to happen?

    I might need to give Philips Tech a call to see if they have came across this before as it a new one for myself.

    I wonder is the two remotes somehow share a button that operates features on each all be it a random feature.
    I'm not familiar with IPTV boxes. Does it have a brand?

    Is it both channel up and down that cause this to happen?

    I might need to give Philips Tech a call to see if they have came across this before as it a new one for myself.
    I think you could be right. As when I hit the ok button on the IPTV remote the Philips tv guide pops up. And when I hit the volume down button the USB source menu pops up. So the IPTV remote must be controling some features on the Philips tv . I'll play around a little more and see what happens .

    Do you know off hand if I can download apps to this tv for example Google play store or is it only the apps that Philips supplied?

    Hey Richard Tea.

    Unfortunately you can only download the apps that Philips have in their app store.
    These change from manufacturer to manufacturer.
