Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Some laziness in the pack that's not going to do some players any favours.

It looked to me as though Henderson fell over and the maul just fell over on top of him

Cooney's passing is unnecessarily flat, receivers are oftent taking man and the tackle.

His kicking hasn't been great either.

I always thought sin binners had to sit on the rugby equivalent of the naughty step, am I mistaken? Henderson is sitting with the team.

Got a bit of a smile from hearing the ref obviously stopping the US A team from trying to take a conversion for the penalty try...!

Cooney bit of a hospital pass there - Beirne at full stretch to catch it and then got cleaned out by the Italian prop.

    Cooneys exit kicks are woefull

    Cooney's kicking is poor.

    What happened to Sweetman?

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,458 ✭✭✭kuang1

Dunno why this seems to be surprising some. USA will stick close enough to us for 50 minutes or so.
    Ireland by 29.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,781 ✭✭✭PetKing

Heaslip talks too much, and talks over the referee.

Clicked on to RTE and thought the end of Jackman. Loud and fast. Might flick over to channel 4.

At least 50 minutes. Remember they beat Scotland in June.

They are probably not a million miles of the likes of Japan and Samoa at the moment.

Ringrose is the best player on this purchase by miles.

Jesus that looked an awful clash when Addison tried to jump over the tackle.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,149 ✭✭✭mangobob

    Ah balls.

Addison giving him a run for his money.

    Good try.

Ireland need to be direct here. Do that they will score a few tries in the second half.

Great break by Conway to let Conan in

At the stadium close to pitch side .

Ross Byrne called that move. Let our a roar to his outside backs right before Cooney passed to him.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,149 ✭✭✭mangobob

We won the sin bin period 10 nil. Not bad.

Well yes he has been good, although he was a bit sloppy on the US line a minute ago.

Addison and Conway have been good too.

Conway replicating that Gilroy vs Italy performance

  • Registered Users Posts: 758 ✭✭✭Somedaythefire

    Such a sloppy restart, that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,817 ✭✭✭✭bilston

We don't want to concede here bearing in mind Ringrose and Henderson may go off at half time.

Ross Byrne and Joey Carbery playing together again in blue. I'm getting all nostalgic!

Good bench selection from Joe - having a second play maker to come on is really paying off. Byrne playing terrific since he came on.

Nice line by Ross Byrne there.

    Better defensive effort there.
I'm enjoying this to be honest.

Yes, Heaslip maybe talks too much, but he's bang on the money with his comments.

In terms of runnin, yes. But Ringrose's passing has been exemplary. Perfectly weighted and always to a man running onto them. That's what's setting him apart I think. Threw a gammy offload but that's forgiveable by all he's done right.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,817 ✭✭✭✭bilston

That must have been the most ridiculous maul I've ever seen!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

    That maul was comical!

  • Registered Users Posts: 758 ✭✭✭Somedaythefire

    Hahahaha that maul

It's weird, it's like whenever the BBC let you watch a match on the red button with 5 live commentary. Both channels feel like RTÉ from a year ago but it's the Radio 1 commentary on RTÉ 2.

What was going on with that maul?

He is head and shoulders above the rest. He is such an intelligent player.

What was going on with that maul?

They tried to not engage, so that if the ball is transferred to the back the players in the front are ahead of the ball carrier. Similar to the truck and trailer.

I think Heaslip is excellent. He really knows his stuff (as you'd expect)

Fun game. So sloppy though, especially in the line outs from what I've seen. Feels like we're going to lose all of them

    Not seeing much from Conan.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,225 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Whomever is calling the lineout is going to get a bollicking.

Seen nothing from either lock that will even.gwt Joe contemplating starting them ahead of Toner.

Oh for sure. Ringrose is probably the best out and out rugby player in Ireland tbh. Has the lot

Yeah I'm not sure if it's been nerves, or everyone being on edge and trying too hard.
