Resetting Google Home?

I recently got a Google Home. I set it up. It worked okay but within a couple of hours I started having issues with it eg. Spotify would play for a couple of minutes and then cut out.
Long story short, I tried to tweak the settings and now I cannot get it to connect with anything and cannot attach it to my account or anything else.
As they don't have a reset button does anyone have any tips on forcing a reset? I tried holding down the button but it doesn't seem to do anything.

Yeah I tried that and it didn't work
I've spent the last hour on chat with Google's support - seems the device I got is a dud .. hopefully I'll get a replacement
