Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey folks lookin for a bit of clarity here.. have a gas cooker in the house with an old rubber gas hose coming through the wall from outside.(I know suppose to be copper now which I have sorted) but last weekend I woke up to the smell of gas in the house so obviously run outside and disconnected the cylinder. Anyway I pulled the house out of the wall and seen a rgt big hole about an inch lenth on the hose. I bought a new hose, connected all back up and that same night the same thing happened again although not as big of a hole. I left the pipe in the wall for a few days then disconnected obviously to see if any more holes appear but there has been nothing.. it seems to be when the gas is on it will happen. Now the chewed bit of the hose bes in the wall itself so im thinkin must be something in the attic and coming down through the cavity which is also pumped with insulation.I'm convinced it's a mouse in the cavity at least I hope it's jus a mouse but I left the hose in the wall for a few ngts after (disconnected of course ) but it hasn't been touched.. any help or suggestions much appreciated thanks

The days of buying a hose and connecting between a gas cylinder ard cooker are long gone. The pipe going through the wall has to be copper. There is other regulations involved. As well as for your own safety ,there is also insurance issues if not done correctly. You need a registered gas installer rgi to do it

oh sorry,i didnt see you had it done in copper now.i think when rodents get into the cavity, they normally hit for the attic.look for any opening outside.Especially around waste pipes, etc.Have you a heatpac boiler outside by any chance

Check and cover your attic water tank.
