Hair Treatments when having hair coloured?

Hi my hair was a bit fragile,so the hairdresser used one when I had it coloured (red) a few weeks ago. Problem is it costed an extra E35 and the price was not cheap to begin with. The colour does appear to hold a bit better with the treatment than without. However I just don't think it's affordable. Does anyone here know…
