Right there is numerous threads etc dealing with Generators, just looking for a direct answer. Looking to get a generator, nothing too big, I have a well pump, and numerous heating pumps, back boiler etc, plus the general white goods, tv etc. do you think a 2.5kva generator is sufficient to run most pumps, the odd light, fridge/freezer and tv? just looking for a back up power, have the plug install beside the esb mains. house was built in 2010. Thanks in advance

    Generator is undersized IMHO.
Remember direct on line motors have a high starting current, this would lead to voltage fluctuations which would not be good for sensitive electronics such as your TV.
