Im getting conflicting reviews on whether or not a phone case with magnetic closure is ok for your phone. Any insights?

I've used them for a few years and never had any issues ,
The magnets are pretty weak but they do the job ,

Thats what Im thinking. Apple and other manufacturers say they send the compass berserk, so shouldn't be used when on google maps etc. Maybe a ploy to buy their branded cases. Once its not damaging the phone I'm good with that, can take it out when Im lost.
