Interfere with it trying to pursue me and have it get a really annoying splinter lodged in its tongue.

(a) 1-2 monsters/cultists are at the car

(c) An NPC related to mystery is in the car with minor Keeper decided consequences.

A) let's beat some answers out of em.

Fourier

The group (OOC: Including Cron) see Darren's car parked at the edge of mining town, a bit wet but okay. However two cultists exit the car with a shotgun and sniper rifle, the sniper aiming at the group.

At that point they hear a tremendous sound as the mill collapses, the beast wrenching itself free and tearing after the group on all fours.

The sniper aims at Darren, but misses, hitting the beast instead which stumbles and howls with the pain.

The cultists look terrified.

"It'll fuking kill us for that you idiot..." they begin to rave and cry in panic, allowing the group to get to within about 10' of them before they turn to react. The beast is still licking its wounds.

OOC: Ye go first, declare what you're doing

Necro

Cron unslings his spear and throws it at the snipers head.

OOC: Necro roll +Tough, there is a special >12 outcome possible due to the spear

Banjo

Darren screams "tall dwarves!" and charges, axe ready to swing at whichever is closest.

Evade

Nathaniel draws his Kerr revolver and aims at the cultists, switching between them, "Rapscallions! Surrender lest we leave you to yonder beast"

OOC: Nathaniel and Darren, +Tough

Fourier

Cron's spear impales the head of one of the cultist, using the spiritual energy of a successful hunt to teleport back into Cron's hands.

Nathaniel fires at the remaining cultist, missing slightly.

The cultist then turns to fire on Nathaniel, but before the trigger is pulled Darren's is buried in his chest. Blood gushing from the wound, he dies almost immediately.

Banjo

Darren checks the tall dwarf for elevator heels, car keys and a clean spit to clean his axe

Nathaniel check himself for extra holes and then looks back to where the beast was.

The beast seems to be quite hurt from the shot, it is trudging into the mountains away from the group with a trail of blood in its wake.

Banjo

Darren hops in the driver's seat.
"I came here to burn rubber, murder human beings and chew bubblegum."
He checks the dash for some Hubba bubba.
"2 out of three ain't bad though?".

Nathaniel ducks nervously and frantically looks around for another gun wielding cultist then on seeing Cron running for the car follows hoping to avoid this unseen attacker.

Bubby recalls the papers from earlier, describing the location of the temple for this 'new god' and makes his party aware.

"Does that look like he's heading for the temple?" he asks.

Bubby, having gotten a read of the area from the creature's mind, realises that is the way to the temple across the mountains, but it can't be taken by car. There is a route via the road by car if one goes back into town, it would take twenty minutes.

Bubby jumps into the car and fills the group in on the insight he had gained, from the papers and tuning into the creature.

"Seems the only choice we need to make is, do we stretch our legs or hike through the mountains...".

Bubby hugs the leather seat in front of him.

Evade

"A brisk walk through a monster infested wood or the safety of this conveyance? A dilemma to be sure." Nathaniel says dryly as he takes a seat in the back.

Necro

'Car, drive the car!'

Cron relaxes in the front seat and takes out his whiskey. He takes a drink and offers it around.

'Vintage - drink up folks!'

Bubby taps Cron on the shoulder, keen to take a swig.

"Luxury it is!" he raises the bottle in the air and takes a big gulp.

Nathaniel takes a drink "Hmm, not a patch on what was available at the club, yet still refreshing." Nathaniel passes it on.

Banjo

Darren eyes the bottle and tries to remember the state laws on drink driving. Probably less harsh than the laws about axe murder? *Swig*

Fourier

The drive is short enough, eventually they reach a bridge that overlooks a stream descending into the woods outside of town.

Bubby's vision indicates the temple is behind a waterfall, the description matching the place Cron had been teleported to earlier.

Looking out the car window they can see a path that leads off the bridge and descends to the streams bank. Bubby's telepathically gained information says following the stream away from town will lead to the waterfall.

Cron turns to Bubby:

'Alright fella, where to from here? I came outta that waterfall, might be able to hide in there if we need a quick place to do so...'

"A temple? That doesn't seem foreboding at all. In fact I'd wager that..."

Cron slides out and revs his chainsaw hand a few times.

'Oh well, carving up a few cult members was fun the first time, may as well give it another bash, eh guys?'

He pushes the saw-hand towards the others looking for some sort of bumpage.

Nathaniel holds his fist up in a similar way but doesn't bump "A most peculiar gesture."

Banjo

"my contact told me you were meticulous investigators into the unknown."
He shoulders his axe and pumps a shell into the breech of the shotgun.
"Glad he was wrong. Now let's meticulize these mother****ers!"

'Lead the way... uh.. which way is it?'

"Demon summoning Oedipals, this is indeed a strange time" Nathaniel draws his revolver and follows

The group get to the waterfall with the cave behind it, within they can hear a drone that after a little bit of listening they realise is a kind of chant.
