I don't know about that - with Robertson and Mane injured, Klopp had no other options except Moreno and Shaq. Firmino has been very poor of late - leaving him in the team would have been a bigger surprise.
With such a depleted team Gomez offers better defensive cover than TAA, allowing Matip to come in (Lovren not in squad).
Salah is the biggest surprise for me.
