    Hi,

I have been trying to cancel my service for a couple of days now without any success. 1901 does not work, the wait times make it impossible for me to get through to a representative. Please supply an alternative method to cancel my service.

    Thanks

Thanks but I don't have 30 minutes at that time of the morning and nearly 2 hours is enough time to have waited to actually talk to someone

Will take about 10 mins to bet thru, took me that this morning.
Think you can cancel by email as well ?

    Hi h2005,

I'm sorry to hear you have been unable to get through to our cancellation team.

Unfortunately, there is no direct email for them, you need to call 1901 to arrange this. All details on cancellation can be found here - https://www.eir.ie/support/billing/how-to-cancel-your-eir-services/

Apologies for all delays incurred, I understand this is frustrating.

    Thanks

    Tracey

When I am signing up for a service, the first thing I do is check the cancellation procedure. Any company that allows you sign up online but insists you call them to cancel will never ever get my business.

The CCPC should introduce a regulation that if you accept online signup, you must accept online cancellation

    Hi Tracey,

Why can you sign up online but to cancel you must phone?

Surely Tracey should be able to answer that here? It's a simple question

There are no simple questions when dealing with Éir.  And there are no answers either.  Simple or otherwise.

Use your bank to cancel the service - terminate the direct debit authority.
