Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It was still at 85% when he hooked, up but range anxiety got the better of common sense.

    OP Here

    Soooo.

My Dad's friend tried the journey again in the New Leaf
And low and behold it made it there and back having left with 100% and left in a destination charger for a couple of hours when he got there.

    The difference.
    Only him in the Car.

Last time the car had 5 people in it and a full boot full.
Also there were women in the car the last time so the heating was on full blast for whole journey.

Those were the only differences. (allegedly)

Does this make sense or is something still wrong with the numbers?

The original figures just didnt add up. It seems to me that the charge your Dad tried at the destination didnt work at all as you said he arrived with 30% and left with 30%!

The new journey sounds normal. That is exactly what your Dad should have experienced too if the destination charge worked properly.

The extra weight wouldnt matter alot. The heating would have some effect (a few km's) but nowhere near enough to cause him to abandon the car half way home!

    I'd agree with that
