Supermacs price hikes.

Hi all...firstly , Im a fan of Supermacs just not their prices recently.I emailed them for an explanation on the most recent price hikes with regard to their supersubs . 6 months ago they increased their 'chicken sandwich meal' by E1 when there was no problem with the harvest or VAT increases. I received the following regarding the latest increases.

"Unfortunately we had to increase pieces due to a number of factors.
Vat increases, minimum wages and food shortages due to the poor harvests during summer have contributed to significant costs"

The vat increase doesn't come into play until January, from 9 - 13%

Best chipper I've ever had in Ireland was a place in Killybegs Donegal and second best a place outside of Manchester.

On their email comment box page...got a free large sandwich on the loyalty stamps today., Not worth it anymore, now the want 7 stamps as opposed to the previous 5🙄
