Larmour was only there to catch that because Sexton absolutely roared at him to drop back lol!

Sexton's getting the dander up now!

Nah, think you're wrong there chief. Ball was intercepted around or behind where the lineout had even taken place.

Which means absolutely nothing. It was knock on advantage. The context is that they secured possession and then executed a back line move which is generally exactly what they'd have done with a scrum restart. They do not all have to make any significant territorial gain.

Underhill is having a big game. He's such a nuisance.

I'm not a fan of sexton up and unders right in front of the bath 22, took the forwards Minutes to get there .

Bath playing quite well to be honest, credit where it's due.

    Rob Kearney has been massive.

    That is an awful tackle.

    A shocking hit

    Red card hit

How is that not a yellow?

    That is an awful tackle.

Player was dropping, not much he could do.

    I think he's lucky.

Contact with the head remains pure lottery. Sort it out ffs

  • I feel like they have completely undone all the directives about contact with the head

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,230 ✭✭✭A-Train

A shambles of a call, shocker from the ref

  • Registered Users Posts: 204 ✭✭griffinlee

Typical Fijian style tackle trying to decapitate a player

That could have been a yellow but can't fault the ref, the tackle was at waist height.

I'm glad it wasn't more, Leinster have to front up here - I don't want any advantages, I want them to strong arm this game on merit and not due to numerical advantage.

McGraths head was about 4 foot off the ground when he got hit. It was accidental and the ref got it right

Would have been harsh but I feel it was a common sense call. Still lucky not to see a yellow

Ffs player was almost on his ass before contact , correct call

What a time to lose a lineout.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Harsh if it were a yellow for sure.
Swung the arm too a bit.

Sexton needs to be careful with Reynal though they're in danger of only getting obvious decisions.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,248 ✭✭✭✭Hurrache

Unless he was superman and had the power of controlled flight, you can't blame the ref or call it a shocking decision or tackle.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,149 ✭✭✭mangobob

In fairness, I thought that was an understandable call. bath player was committed and mcgrath was dropping. Had mcgrath stayed upright the tackle would have been perfectly placed.

When you dive at someone with a flying clothes line you need to be aware that he might go down. He made contact with his head.

He does need to rein it in a little

What a waste of a gilt edged chance.

This is not a vintage Leinster display, we could easily lose this game despite being in control through the second half.

Lots of effort and only an intercept try to show for it

    BOD is insufferable

Certainly knows the address on his pay slip.

How many holding on penalties have been called in this game?

It was a perfectly lined up tackle before the player slipped. What you're advocating for is tag rugby, as there's the potential for the player at the end of every single tackle to slip.

    BOD is insufferable

He is trying to be unscrupulously fair- refreshing for a co commentator

Will be interesting to hear BOD chat when he's back in Ireland during the week, he's definitely not biting the hand that feeds him.

He is trying way, way too hard.

I'm saying it's inconsistent, not the wrong call

    Great play from Lowe there

JGP had hands on the ground before that turnover.

Life is inconsistent. No two tackles are exactly the same

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

    Some hit from Lowe.

Lovely pass from Byrne to create the space for the kick downfield.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,149 ✭✭✭mangobob

    We needed that. Badly.

Another referee would have given a penalty against the defending side for almost every single turnover penalty today.

He has been consistent and favoured defender each time.

Think ref has been good. Cokanasiga could’ve seen yellow, and the advantage Leinster got the intercept try off was weirdly short but other then that he’s been consistent

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,201 ✭✭✭troyzer

Ringrose is my man of the match.

We were very poor but finding a way to win no matter what is really valuable.

Something we could have used in Toulouse.

On the advantage for the larmour try, it was right for the advantage to be over immediately as they made meter gains straight away
