Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Maybe a general election by the end of the year as the effects of Brexit kick in and the housing situation becomes completely intolerable for a big chunk of Irish people who vent their anger on the streets and at the ballot box. Varadkar and chums ousted, Coalition govt formed.

After the success of the water protests and what people power can do I'm surprised this hasn't happened already.

Leo and his ministers must waken up every morning thinking 'Is this the day it all goes tits up for us?

I think that in the local elections in May we'll see people make similar comments that Peter Casey made regarding the travelling community. Somebody might even get elected in areas when Peter polled well.
However they'll be a big backlash against this person in the media who'll make them out to be an idiot.

My earlier predictions are all more or less on track and '19 hasn't started yet
    https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=108841043&postcount=17

But the mystic one called 'Baba Vanga' doesn't herald much in the way of cheery news:
Vlad is challenged, Trump looses hearing and there's mega-waves and meteorites to look forward to:

Well the Liverpool one is. Maybe the Syria one. That's about it.

    Ah you selectively forgot...

The challenge to May, who will now almost certainly hold on until brexit +1day as suggested.

Also the Donald is still the clear favourite for POTUS 2020, as he ramps up the China trade war further, and brushes off challenges. China announced they are aiming to replace 5,000 Western airlines with their own fleet in the coming years (bad news for BAE/Boeing)

Europe is becoming ever more right, even VOX has large gains last week in post-Franco Espania. Macron's time would also appear to be up in France.

Moves towards digital taxes in the EU (Austria today indicated support)

More places off the holiday list (backpacking in Morocco isn't what it used to be). Paris is only romantic if you lust yellow jackets and waterey eyes.

{Still 365+2days to go to get the rest correct}.

Not a hope will there be serious housing protests (on the scale of the water protests) as homeowners themselves don't particularly care (value of their gaff can only increase), workers are far too busy keeping their sh1t together, so that leaves SF, the alphabet soup parties, Eirigi loons, the 'foreva home' squad and assorted hangers on to march and most if not all of the latter would put a lot of folks off protesting.

His mother is Catholic and father is Hindu. Found no indication of what religion he follows... So yes I would say your invention goes back to pretty weird views on Judaism.

Anyway, prediction for 2019, the Mueller investigation indicts one of Trump's family members. This potentially leads to Trump's resignation.

England will blame Europe and Ireland of ruining their economy through Brexit, Leo will rush through legislation making a compulsory draft for a new European army, Large swathes of 18 to 35 year old men from council estates will be drafted to fight England.

One euro will be worth more than 90p in Sterling. A terrorist attack in Europe. Dublin to win the All Ireland in football. The first abortion’s to take place in Ireland.Theresa May to lose her job. House prices to rise by at least an average of 10% in Ireland.

Already is (was 90.5 on 11 Dec), it will peak at 94.5 after March, but sterling will regain it's value (86.5 avg) before end of year.
    KevinCavan wrote: »

These are near monthly occurances, incase you haven't noticed. Often simply classed simply as 'mental heath' events however.
    KevinCavan wrote: »

The first abortion’s to take place in Ireland.
    Probably so.
    KevinCavan wrote: »
Theresa May to lose her job.

She's just secured her role for another year, but will leave of her own occord on Brexit+1day.
    KevinCavan wrote: »

The average could go +/- either way, brexit won't create new prosperity for Ire, but there will be an increase in footfall from students, migration and so on. Perhaps there will a drop at the top, and a climb on starter/multiple occupancy homes. If it's a mild Spring, tent cities may appear.

Another terrorist attack in Europe. (Either Russia, UK, or America-But I have a feeling its Russia)
Something will happen with Trump (impeachment or a major decision that could shake up everything)
There will be a no confidence vote for Leo Varadkar (which will lead to a GE).
There will be a no vote of confidence for Theresa May (Which may cost her to step down)
Sterling and Dollar will continue to fall for a while
There will be a major catastrophe, such as an earthquake or tsunami (Maybe in Japan)
One of the main members of the Royal Family will pass away. (Queen Elizabeth)
There will be a major scandal surrounding a world leader and the truth will come out
Another European country will be voting to leave the EU (Probably Italy)
A shock death in the celebrity world which will be the result of suicide
Housing Bubble will be ready to burst again in Ireland
There will continue to be unrest in France
    Kirk Douglas will pass away
An Irish celeb will pass away (Probably Gay Byrne)
We will have a hot summer

Yeah it will be the usual happy and cheerful kinda year! Carry on folks lol :D

Ahhhhh simple Simon, the chocolate soldier and simple sailor. A Barrister who has never worked a day in his life and Minister of Agriculture who never owned a pair of wellies. How ever did this twit ever get elected to office? Oh he is Peter Sutherlands replacement in the Bilderbergs.

Fianna Fail will be back on track to becoming the largest political party in the country.

Ireland will continue to do well in the horse industry.

The Eurovision will proceed as planned without a UK entry.

Trump will do something utterly bizarre.

The UK will plod on optimistically.

Irish people will give out stink at every possible opportunity.

Parish pump politics will continue unabated.

I may pause to wonder about it all.

While AI humanid-robotic assistants are slowly becoming commonplace in larger airports and train stations (Germany, Ldn, Japan)
the 1st domestic assistant (like Alexa, but in humanoid form) will appear in homes during Q4 of 2019.

Initial tasks may be hoovering, answering phones, feeding pets, operating the microwave and making tea.
Infra(red)eye night mode for night security will see it transform into 120db barking sounds through the letterbox.

I don't think anyone really realises the absolute carnage which is about to unfold in the global financial markets, this will make 2008 look like cakewalk. Governments will topple, wars will start and we are staring down the end of the era of peace as we know it in Europe. The EU will cease to exist shortly and the contagion will spread everywhere around the world.

Any financial crisis that will affect the elite will be resisted at all costs (by the elite), they'll change the rules as and when they need to to preserve the status quo.

    Leo Varadkar will get married.

The remaining Cromwellian forces that have retreated to 48km north of Drogheda since 6 December 1922 become significantly weaker as a result of Brexit and all of Ireland starts on the road to becoming free from British occupation for the first time since 15 August 1649.

    Trump will step down
Dublin will lose steam a little in the football
Liverpool will win PL but go on a nervy run of bad form beforehand
Utd will get top 4 and make a good go at CL after beating PSG. Ole will be offered a permanent position.
May will look to extend Brexit deadline. Corbyn will be challenged for leadership.
An independent minister will bring down our government somehow.
Another Garda scandal that the boys at the top will completely mishandle and "learn from" while the guys at the bottom will suffer.
    Steps towards decriminalising drugs.
