How much notice for Civil Service?

    Hi all,

I am still in my one year probationary period as a CO in the Civil Service. This is my first year in the service. I have a possible job offer in the next few weeks and I am wondering how much notice should you give? I can't find it specified on my contract how much. I have a feeling it is one week, but I'm not sure if there are specific guidelines for the Civil Service.

Also, would anyone know if I would be entitled to payment of annual leave if I don't take it before I depart? I am aware that Temporary Clerical Officers have to use their leave during their contract and aren't compensated if they don't use it (at least that's what I heard).

I know there's two questions there, but any help would be great :).

    Thanks in advance

One week as you are paid weekly.
    Take your holiday.
