Im filling out CG1 for shares sold this year.
My capital gains is €2,912, less exemption of €1,270 is €1,642, tax @33% gives me a bill of €541.86.
If I put my partner as joint owner of these shares, would I also be able apply his exemption of €1,270 to reduce my tax bill further if selling shares next year?

Shares certificates usually in one name, so no on that basis.
