Living on Eyre Street, Newbridge

Hi, I'm looking to rent in Newbridge with my wife and we found a place on Eyre Street.

I'm just wondering what opinions are of living on the street, safety (day and night), noise, the quality of the houses, etc.

Any help appreciated!

It looks very very dodgy after dark. I wouldn't like to park my car there overnight for example.

I park my car overnight there every now and then and it's fine. Not sure I would like to live there though. Only two or three weeks ago there was a brothel raided there, there is a homeless shelter on Eyre Street as well although not 100% certain if it's still in use.

Know a few people who have rented there over the years and didn't stay particularly long, chances are it would be fine to live there but probably one of the less desirable areas in the town.
