5.1 speakers for STRDN1080

    Hello,
    I recently bought the Sony STRDN 1080 and now like to pair up budget 5.1 system with it. Would you mind suggesting the right speakers for this 6 ohms receiver?
    Is JBL Cinema 510 or Canton moview 75 good options? (since they are 4ohms..can I use them with STRDN1080?)

    Apologies for the delay getting back to you.

    The Cantons would definitely be the better choice as they have a better sound with better speaker build quality.

    Hi David, thanks for your reply. Since Canton movie 75 is a 4ohms setup..would it be advisable to use it with Sony STRDN1080 which is a 6ohms AV receiver?

    Hi Srbhsxna.

    You can still run the 4Ohm speakers on the 1080.

    It will just take the 1080 a little more power to drive them.
