    Good grief.

    Fastest yellow card in history?

    Lol.

    Surely a red?

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Ulster are a special kind of stupid for this.

Very lucky boy to get yellow. Sweetnam comes down a fraction more vertically and I doubt the referee would have been able to show that leniency.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,452 ✭✭✭✭Larbre34

The fella should've just broken the world record for fastest red card in history.

The fact he hasn't means the question of player safety rumbles on. Does player safety matter if an incident happens at kick-off, at the death, if a tight game is in the balance, if there are one or more players already in the bin or sent off?

It shouldn't matter a damn and he is one lucky puppy.

Sweetnam was lucky to avoid serious injury there. Very reckless

Really, really lucky not to get a red.

It would have ruined the game, maybe that was influencing the ref? You can't play 80 minutes with 14 men and expect to be competitive.

Very lucky to just get a yellow in my opinion.

Jordi winning that turnover though. I really miss him.

Seen a red for a lot less. He's lucky it was in the first minute

Did we get a charitable tax credit for donating him to the sick man of Ireland?

Red all day.... Anyway, as a neutral in glad it wasn't.

Munster need to stop their stupid penalties

No, our reward is that they took Ian Nagle off us as well.

Ya really stupid pen there against o'byrne. No need for it

Ian Nagle getting stuck in. Love to see that.

I'd say he was saved by Sweetnam landing on his side but my god that was stupid.

He's a gombeen. I could be wrong but the only time I've seen him playing for Leinster this year was against Scarlets and he was awful. Mid air tackles after losing the ball in lineouts.

He's like a fat kid in a sweet shop. Has no self control.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Cooney's passing is killing Ulster getting any momentum.

He's putting himself about tonight in fairness to him. Pretty sure I've read here that he hasn't been too bad since going up north.

Referee totally conned by Munster 9

    Very harsh on Burns.

Matthewson looking very tidy. I'd be shocked if Munster haven't already sought to extend his stay further.

Poor game thus far. Serious error count building up.

Mathewson has cute hoorism set to maximum.

Yeah, looks like it was a good move for all concerned. This is the sort of thing inter provincial loans should be for.

JJ's kicking isn't good so far.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Jesus. Speight did the hard part. A pass or better kick and Ulster were down to thr Munster 22.

Munster looking to just play the territorial game but Hanrahan isn't kicking very effectively so pressure Ulster.

What happened Cooney? Had to step away for a second.

Shanahan on - let's get some trys on the board.

Munsters defense looks very strong, pushing Ulster back on most attacks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

This is a great opportunity for Munster. Their defense is excellent but I can't help but feel a second wind from Ulster is on the way.

    Ulster's attack is ****e. I don't think they've been inside the Munster 10m once, nevermind the 22.

Well, the expiry date on that comment was approximately 5 seconds.

New tactics: get ball to Addison.

  • Administrators Posts: 54,184 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

    FCUKING HAVE IT!

    Yes!!

  • Site Banned Posts: 12,341 ✭✭✭✭Faugheen

    My turn.

Ulster look like they can't score.

EDIT: literally just as I hit post :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Ulster needed that. All stemmed from Addison's mazy run.

Pack will be delighted with the try.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

All because Haley couldn't take a kick under no pressure.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,149 ✭✭✭mangobob

Ulster deserved that, if only for the Addison break.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

    This is poison.

    Munster are woejus in possession.

Scrappy and too many handling errors

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Ludik really should have kept that ball in hand. Lots of space still to attack and clock was dead.

Poor half. Ulster deserve to be ahead just about. Hard to raise the focus and intensity up to the same levels again but this is a weak Munster selection.

The foreign born players are by far the best players on the field for the most part.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,824 ✭✭✭Jump_In_Jack

Why did Mathewson kick it out, Munster are trailing, surely a high ball into the Ulster half to test the Ulster backs would have been better there, chance of a knock on or perhaps get a runner to contest it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,631 ✭✭✭✭Akrasia

    JJ's playing really well.

Great defense and passing, poor kicking from hand though

Between the yellow card and the nonsense penalty against Kleyn that led to the try, the ref is having a huge impact on the game.

Not in my opinion. Knock ons and bad kicking out of hands.also screwed the tackle for the try

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,631 ✭✭✭✭Akrasia

Munster are playing well when we don't have the ball. I've a feeling we can edge this through keeping our defence strong and winning a few more kickable penalties

Hope the jj experiment is over now..

Mixed the good with the sloppy in the first half but has gone badly in the last 10 minutes. Terrible decision to kick away turnover ball (badly) and pass to touch in good position.

I'd imagine he's still firmly second choice though given the complete lack of game time for the others.
