Does in-store call and collect mean available by phone/forum for boards or does the item need to be online available?

    Hi,

I’ve given your query a separate thread, posting it in a notice risks it being missed. As it’s Christmas Day, your query may not be answered by RS until the store re-opens.

@The Ritz - Thanks :D - above & beyond the call of duty..

    Darando,

thanks for the post - unfortunately 'call and collect' is a little obtuse ( we know and I'm currently working on it :o )

The main meaning is that we are low on stock and we are hoarding available stock for Customers who call to the store to see us - we always give these Customers priority as we hate to disappoint personal callers. ( On this basis an item that is 'in-store only' can become available for shipping as soon as stock pressures ease)

The next option is that these are items that are just not economical to ship - we are happy for Customers to reserve and collect but shipping charges just tip them over the edge for us - also some items ( especially some TV's are just not great for shipping as the packaging is poor - so these are reserved for in-store collection.

Next up is that we may out of stock of these on a temporary basis - we sometimes keep out-of stock items 'live' on the site if we know that they are coming back into stock soon.

Finally .. as most regular Boardies know the key is to ask :) even if an item is  'in-store only' if possible we will always look at it for Boardies and see if we can free up an item,

Thanks again and have a Great Christmas,

    ATVB,
