I think his leg strength from playing rugby all his life was huge tonight. Being able to stand up while Chad Mended is trying to hold you down is insane, Chad is an elite level wrestler. That was ridiculously impressive.

Like Aldo's leg kicks being so good because he played soccer as a kid :pac:

    True story:
Ilir Latifi was the person who stopped the lads on Khabib's bus from getting off by blocking the exit and telling the driver not to open it.
Turns out he has some sort of private security training and it kicked in when it all kicked off.

There wouldn't be much room to get around him if he was blocking a doorway anyway!

Yeah. Still don't know why he was on the bus, he wasn't even on the card!

    Condit's Jiu-Jitsu is so slick.

Since when is Condit so submitt-able? People just seem to run through him these days

I thought that was just my stream. Did you get the buffer twice, the first time it was like a recording...

Carlos has rubber arms, felt sure he would not move that arm for days, seemed fine afterwards.

He was pure magic once upon a time, my absolute fav. I guess Cruz and Rogan are right here? Things have just progressed and the skill level has risen to places some of the old stock can't catch? Age too I guess, we've seen a lot of that tonight.

Yeah it was weird, as they were waiting it was as if the result was being played pre-recorded over the broadcast.

First female fight I've truly looked forward too. Should be a great fight I fancy Nunes late KO but wouldn't be supprised if cyborg completely dominates

If Nunes can make it past the first 3 rounds, I fancy her to win it. But agreed, wouldn't be surpirsed if Cyrbog smashes her inside 1 or 2 rounds.

Can't see how Nunes wins personally. Then again I'm consistently wrong so what the feck do I know

I have finally, finally, finally manage to play this perfectly. Went to bed at a normal hour. No alarm but said if I woke up for a possible or whatever I'd get up.

5.46am and I turn on the TV as Cyborg is walking out. Perfect. I'm taking it as a sign that the stars are aligning and both Nunes and Gus are winning by KO.

    EDIT: holy ****ing hell.

    WOW.

Rousey might fancy her chances of a comeback now that she fared about the same as Cyborg. :D

The accuracy of those punches was brilliant, absolutely fantastic performance. Delighted for her.

Those shots were all accurate too, incredible. So happy! :D

Jesus christ. That's shocking. Given the size advantage of cyborg I had nunes at no chance in this. Definitely solidifies her as greatest woman's champion ever.

No wonder Amanda wanted the fight so badly, she knew she could do that. Top class mixed martial artist, not just for a woman but in general.

Jesus Christ that's really a case of the difference between skill and power vs size and power.

Just when MMA pushes me away with the Jones drugs sh*t, it pulls me back in with stuff like that . I love this sport lads. There's nothing like it.

It looked like she was swinging wildly but she wasn’t, so quick and accurate

Yeah, every punch was thrown with venom but every one of them was pin point accurate. It was spectacular.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,564 ✭✭✭EagererBeaver

Very similar to the Rousey fight, her accuracy when throwing big, big punches in combinations was insane. Perhaps better than anyone if the UFC at it.

I reacted so loudly and wildly to that I just woke the kids and my wife. Delighted, she seems such a nice woman too.

Really wanted Nunes to win but thought Cyborg would have it given the size difference. Glad to be proven wrong. Nunes is an absolute beast.

I am having a celebration drink.

Rogan just described those punches as haymakers, they were accurate and timed.

Just need Gus to do it now...

Lads I'm on for serious money if Gus wins by ko/tko.

Nunes looked so wild throwing haymakers from the hips but they were all on the button. No one will want to fight her after that.

I've always thought haymaker was just a punch thrown with every bit of power they have and not necessarily a sloppy or inaccurate shot.
