The average monthly net salary in Canada is around 2,997 CAD, with a minimum income of CAD per month. This places Canada on the 12th place in the International Labour Organisation statistics for 2012, after France, but before Germany.

In Canada income tax is usually deducted from the gross monthly salary at source, through a pay-as-you-earn (PAYE) system. Self-employed individuals are required to file an income tax return every year. The deduction includes the Federal and Provincial income taxes.

? The OP asked for the minimum wage after tax.

According to google, the average minimum wage is around $11.50 per hour. Estimating $460 per week or just under $2,000 CAD per month before tax. The 2,997 after tax figure you mentioned above is way off minimum wage..

An 'average' minimum wage... so, what is the minimum wage then ?

Min wage in Ontario is $14 an hour.
It'll be $15 an hour in two days time.

Toronto is in Ontario. In some other states, it's as low as $11 an hour.

    https://www.labour.gov.on.ca/english/es/tools/hours/daily_weekly_hours.php
Maximum amount of hours per week is 48 hours.

So without know your trade & hours, there's no figure.
