Looks like a TD for Crabtree.

Looks a TD. Only positive for the Chargers is it's past the 2 min warning.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,053 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

    Yeah, think it's a td

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,972 ✭✭✭mikemac2

    That’s a TD

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,172 ✭✭✭✭kmart6

    Has to be.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

They have to give that. Seriously, its plain as day. How is it taking so long?

I assumed it was given from the moment I saw it live.

Based on the officiating to help ratings, that'll be a TD :P

How is that hyperbole. There are other players on the team apart from the QB. This is the team's playoff game. not just Jacksons. The guy had done nothing all game. The Chargers are doing their best to sh!t their bed to be sure, with their very own Raheem Moore play.

The crowd behind the bench were screaming for Flacco to be put in earlier and Jimmy Smith went over to them and told them to remember why they are in the playoffs in the first place, i.e. meaning Jackson.

The players realise they wouldn't have made the playoffs, nor had even a chance of going 6-1 in the second half of the season, without him.

Rightly, the other players are not going to turn on him at the first opportunity.

    Looks every bit a TD.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,172 ✭✭✭✭kmart6

Hmmm do you onside or take the chance on your D?

    Sorry, but that is rubbish.
The Ravens are there for a lot of reasons, not just Jackson.
If Smith wants to go down that line, then the fans are right cause Jackson is the reason they were stinking.

Their whole offense was dire for most the game, Flacco would have made no difference.

So when the Chargers D was making plays it was Jacksons fault but now that Jackson is moving the ball it is because the Chargers are sh!tting the bed?

Seems like you're being very fair there.

Kick it deep. Onside kick is unnecessary.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,796 ✭✭✭Mr. Guappa

Surely you go onside kick there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

Putting faith in the D. Ballsy, but can't argue with it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 633 ✭✭✭Kev8360

Kick it deep - play for field position

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

Should have gone onside there, IMO.

Although they've never been successful off one from Tucker, have 2 TO's and one of the best defenses in the league, so hard to complain.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,644 ✭✭✭D9Male

Imagine if they put in Flacco in Q4 and he went 10/18 for 180, and 2td?

It would be a chaotic off-season in Baltimore.

The Chargers have been at over 90% winning % since halftime. They have been at 99.9% winning % since the start of the 4th Q. That is insanely one-sided. That it has gotten back to this point is crazy.

8% success rate across the league this year they said

I like the call to kick it deep

Flacco would still be out. This is all about winning one game and staying in the playoffs.

I watch a lot of football. I can see when a team is sh!tting the bed. This is it in a nutshell.

Lynn needs to put the ball in Rivers hands.

I don't care what happens over the rest of this game, imo that was a stupid decision to kick the ball deep there.
You have a chance, however slim, of getting the ball back off an onside kick. Kicking it to King after what he has shown today is ridiculous.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

This game is getting crazier and crazier

4 all year I think they said. Kinda crazy. Something they may need to look at in the off season.

That screaming one is back, she didn't leave!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

The hold was soft enough but even worse was the fact it was unnecessary.

Baltimore have one of the best defenses in the league and almost certainly the best kicker.

They were 4-5 to start the season and went 6-1 to end it.

Take a guess at what changed?

If onside kick fails you still need a stop, same as kicking it deep. Onside kick gives you an extra chance however slim, and if it comes off you've more time and timeouts.

I watch a lot of football. I can see when a team is sh!tting the bed. This is it in a nutshell.

Though you clearly haven't watched much of Flacco this season nor tell when there is more issues for an offense than a QB. Lazy option to blame.

This game has gotten so crazy, I'm now expecting an unreal return from Baltimore

The schedule, injuries, some luck......... I'm not ruling out Jackson, but if you want to place it all on him, then you place it all on him today as well.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

What a terrible call to throw there....as Romo said, what is to be gained? 10 yards? Chargers dodged a bullet that it was caught.

Disagree completely, have to play the percentages. Over 90% likely Chargers get the ball anyway and if you do stop they can pin you deep. Very unlikely Jackson is going 90+ yards.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,172 ✭✭✭✭kmart6

Well that is a poor way to end it after getting back into it.

Instead you give him 40 seconds and no timeouts to go 60 yards?

    Wow.

    Man, I love football.

Superb play by the chargers defender.

That was great fun in the finish to that game in fairness! :pac:

    Well done to the Chargers.

Jackson has no future in the NFL.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,778 ✭✭✭Big Pussy Bonpensiero

Wow. Completely deserved for the Chargers but what an anti-climax after all that.

    ****e way to end it.

    QB was 3/10 25 yards.

That is all on the Chargers. They should have been up 30 the way the game went. Hardly lazy.

The onside kicks this year are totally different. Think is is 8% success rate, 4 all year.
