Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If JJ hadn't tried to jump the count they would have had the ball.

Yeah, they criticize the matchup, but the linebacker was right there. Great throw and catch.

As well as 2 DBs in the area :pac:

Ugh, forgot the first game is the ESPN crew...

Me too. Everything about their production is shocking now. Commentators. Features. Half time "show". They manage to f*ck up replays sometimes as well.

Week 2 in Chicago we were treated to some god awful HT music performance instead of seeing Urlacher's speech. The director said the day after they should have shown it. They knew it was happening since May like..

That was possibly a flag for me on Hopkins. DB never turned his head and dragged him down.

Only saw it the once, though.

Every chance it would've been had it been regular season.

On the replay looked 50:50. I like that they don’t throw flags on those plays in the playoffs.

Saw on ESPN earlier that this crew averages the least amount of flags per game which is good.

They were both holding each other. I much prefer seeing refs keep their flags in their pockets on those sort of plays, playing cb is hard enough as it is!

Another killer penalty on 3rd down.

Hard to argue with that, yeah! Didn't see Hopkins hold at the time, but fair enough.

Do Houston always start slow? My overriding impression of them from even just Redzone is that they always have some chaisng to do in the 2nd half. As in I have been fully expecting Watson to have to overcome a deficit in the 4th quarter tonight.

    I could be wrong though.

Colts look ready to play. Texans look all at sea.

    2 drives
    2 TD's
2 3rd down penalties by the Texans to extend drives
    Killer for them

Colts doing anything they want offensively.

Frank Reich is a really intelligent offensive playcaller. We were blessed we got him after the fiasco with McDaniels.

Too easy for the colts so far. 14-0 early on.

The Colts are a proper team. The turn around in their O line is phenomenal. Luck has all day, and they're up against Clowney, Watt, Mercilus et al.

  • Registered Users Posts: 621 ✭✭✭Kev8360

Most promising for the Colts is that the Texans pass rush hasn’t been a factor yet.

    Not sure about this challenge

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,778 ✭✭✭Mr. Guappa

    Can't see this being overturned

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

not a catch for me. dragged his foot before he had the ball and lifted it just as he gained control. Never know in the NFL though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

Yeah, same. Will be deflating for texans if so

Well if it was a Tomlin challenge we know what outcome would be

Christ it was actually well in. He had both feet down long before the sideline :pac:

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

.....agreed. Us neutrals desperately need this to stand....and it does.

  • Registered Users Posts: 621 ✭✭✭Kev8360

Didn’t look like a catch to me on first viewing ... but just about had his toe down. Very close.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

Leonard and Mitchell all over the ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,172 ✭✭✭✭kmart6

    Lets goooo!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

just to keep on top of ESPN's poor coverage here, that catch/no catch challenge was a huge moment in this game (even this early on) and they had a single replay, no discussion, cut to break, then missed the announcement that it was a catch.

If the Colts drive and score with ease again I don't see any chance of a comeback. Entire stadium is deflated already.

Texans know this isn't September right? :pac:

Some performance from the Colts on both sides of the ball so far.

    Stadium is dead, yeah.

Even the effort from the Texans defense on that last play looked done, which is normally daft to say so early in a game.

Colts serious ballin in that 1st q

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

Nightmare start for Houston, but we've seen carbon copies of this game, (on Wild Card Weekend), the last two years, and seen great comebacks in the second half.

Long way to go. Interception just now for Texans might kick them into gear.

    Huge INT
