Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Tough to find an NFL game where you don't see that from players on the side that's behind

I know but come on, it's the Playoffs, you've been responsible for 2 turnovers and haven't really done anything.

ok, seriously, someone needs to tell Booger not to say Tampa 2 again.

I'm still wondering how you make such a stupid decision on 4th and 1 in a playoff game.

the decision to go for it or the play call in particular?

Do the Cowboys have a lot of unassigned seating?

I think they have (party) areas within the stadium that you can watch the game on CCTV....but not see the field itself, but I may stand corrected on that.

The playcall. You needed one yard, go get the yard and you have four attempts to get the TD.

I see a load of people standing at Cowboys games (you see them behind the endzone celebrating with players sometimes) so must be something to do with that.

Also that silly fan bar players walk through. Probably getting in there to get a good spot.

    From wikipaedia:

The maximum capacity of the stadium with standing room is 105,000.[17] The record attendance for an NFL game was set in 2009 with a crowd of 105,121.[18] The Party Pass (open areas) sections are behind seats in each end zone and on a series of six elevated platforms connected by stairways

Watson looks gun shy although there may just be no where to throw the ball.

Trubisky would be getting crucified if he put in a performance like this.

Check downs are the only thing working.

When I moved to DFW I looked into going to the Bears Cowboys game in 2016(?) and tickets for standing areas were a comparative bargain at about forty quid.

Didn't go because it was a Sunday night game and would have been home about three in the morning, but the option was there.

As a Texans fan this is so frustrating. There are a lot of injuries on O and Hopkins is playing injured but still the team not playing well.

I think any QB would get savaged. A score (TD) on this drive though may just make the Colts a tiny bit nervous.

Hard to believe the Texans aren’t in hurry up now.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,510 ✭✭✭Hazys

    LOL thats a touchback

    Touchdown, can't overturn that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

I think this is the worst rule in football, but he's ****ed there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,369 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

    Oh wow he fumbled it.

    Yikes!

    The Texans are absolutely atrocious.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

I wouldn't be surprised if the NFL think of their ratings and let the call stand.

No fumble, ball broke the plane before it came out.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,156 ✭✭✭✭Foxtrol

Should be ok though. if he fumbles and recovers it. Unless he's out of bounds when recovers

Yeah, on further look I think it's fine. Damn close though.

No it would be colts ball, but that's a touchdown

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,369 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

Jesus Christ. ESPN miss it again showing a f*cking ad.

What a joke of an organisation.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,510 ✭✭✭Hazys

Hmm suspicious call, the ball is clearly loose before he touches the plane, how does his finger still touching the ball count as possession? or am i missing something about the goal line that is different?

It’s really annoying that espn don’t stay and show more replays instead of going straight to ads

I thought the touchback was only if it was fumbled out of bounds. That rule always gets me

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,172 ✭✭✭✭kmart6

Moore really should have done better and out the WR out, shouldn't have scored from where the contact occured.

The ball was lose. Finger tips on the ball, but the ball is lose. Generous call.

Dean Blandino calls it a touchback on twitter also.

Well it's hard to know for sure as i didn't get to see many good replays thanks to ESPN, but my cynical self says the NFL wanted to protect ratings. Sure looked like he began to lose control before the tip touched the goal line to me.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,156 ✭✭✭✭Foxtrol

Needs to be clear evidence to overturn and at worst it evens out the missed facemask earlier which could have changed things.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

every football account I follow on twitter says touchback and generous call.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,510 ✭✭✭Hazys

I suppose the element of indisputable evidence played a factor in not over turning but it would be nice to have a proper explanation, hey even a second replay would have been nice there ESPN

Jaysus ESPN missing plays because they have ads on, what a joke

Sky had a great replay, showed it lose before the line. Def looks like a ratings call. That’s reversed in a regular game.

At least we're all somewhat agreed. I think. Awful. :)

I think the only way we ever a replay of that play ever again is if the Texans complete the comeback.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,201 ✭✭✭troyzer

I wonder if Watson will check down in the middle of the field again.

    Christ, this is dire stuff.
