Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Elliot is one of the most consistent runners I've ever seen. Quality on every down.

It infuriates me as a Giants fan tbh, even more so that he looks like an overgrown man child and has that dumb eating celebration. Nevertheless, future HoF.

yeah as it should. I've not watched both games in full and will tomorrow.

Is it just me that's enjoying this game?

Proper playoff feel to it, IMO.

you enjoy incompetence of the QB? they are urine streaked all first half.

I like the feeling that another score could win it for either team, but it's not had the magic/spark of a classic playoff game yet. Seattle offense just seems so flat.
Just wait for Baldwin to show up.

The Jones mahal is open ten years did they say ?

What the hell was that play call. You're at midfield, why not just punt on third down if you are going to do that. Completely pointless.

Peter Carroll showing is age. Time for him to go. The man is nearly 70 years old and the play calling has been dog sh1t. Let a young man come in.

he bad play once and you want him dead? he bring young player in and make play off. Please stop this.

I enjoy watching this craic, but there's far too many rules. I'm like four years deep watching it 'properly' and still it baffles me at times.

Good game but bogged down with bull*hit

    Extremely harsh, IMO.

In 9 seasons with Seattle he's had 7 winning seasons (the 2 losing seasons were in his first 2 years) and 2 Super Bowl appearances, with 1 Super Bowl win.

This year was supposed to be a rebuild and yet he has still guided them to a 10-6 record and a playoff spot with their best defensive player by miles out for the season in week 4.

    A superb coach.

frequently hear about Russell Wilson being elite etc. Time to show it. This is the first round of the playoffs, a close game....time to lift your team.

Another awful, I mean terrible play call on 3rd down.

ok, I wrote this before that catch.....but I''m still posting it!! :)

    ?

    good run Wilson

That was the best drive of the game and the two point conversion on top.
If they get a stop here I'd be expect them to go and finish it off.

Football really isn’t important at the end of the day. Things like that put everything into perspective.

Looking ahead to the Bears/Eagles game tomorrow night, Trey Burton was added to the injury report tonight with a groin injury which is concerning..

What the hell is with all the review decisions being missed because of ad breaks? I don't think we've seen the result of a single review live in either game tonight.

    Very important turnover for Seahawk

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

Wow - huge play by Wright. Any score by the Cowboys there would've been tough for the Seahawks to overcome.

Yep, it'd been terrible. As if they think we don't care whether these huge, impactful, challenge-worthy plays are overturned or not.

3rd and 20.......gonna say draw play up the middle or TE screen.

Good too see Brian Schottenheimer is even more conservative than when he was OC at the Jeys

Dallas going to PI their way down the field. Good calls both though.

Time starting to be a factor now, especially if Dallas makes this a 2 score game.

On the other hand, it would be great if they kick a FG, then the Seahawks tie with a TD and we get a dropkick extra point to win it :pac:

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

Would a first down here pretty much end the game right?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

The absolute state of that tackling from the Seahawks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,369 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

Dak redeemed himself there are messing up on the illegal shift.

    Should be game over now.

Dallas do their best to make a dog's dinner of it, but Seattle out do them by giving up a QB draw on 3rd & 14. What a frustrating game this has been. Either of these teams will get eaten up by the Saints or Rams.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 988 ✭✭✭brendanwalsh

That's a wrap boys. Bye bye Pete.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,369 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

Hopefully we can beat the Eagles tomorrow. I'd love to see a rematch between the Saints and Cowboys in NO.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,915 ✭✭✭Morrison J

As someone who hates the Cowboys the great thing about this is they'll be keeping Garrett and overpaying for Prescott. You aren't winning a Super Bowl with either.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

I hope they look again at the onside kick rules in the off season. I know player safety is paramount these days, but the new rule changes have made the chances of recovery too remote, and takes from these situations.

Nice little drive there from Seattle. Pity they spent the entire game running Carson up the middle for 2 yards.

It's amazing that you have a 53 man roster but you have nobody capable of hitting a chip shot apart from one guy.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

I'd hate to lose a game like this if I were a Seattle fan....my OC petrified to let my star QB make plays (until the game is over)

Thankyou, not many folk speak the truth, I am one of them.

    Best offside kick ever :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

They could have had any rostered player dribble the ball 10 yards to one side or the other or down the middle.....what a complete surrender.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,966 ✭✭✭Liamalone

Thon guy gets paid to do that? I don't understand the small things in this game. Stupid at times.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,369 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

That onside was terrible but I love the idea of kicking the ball in the air to give your guys long enough to get down and challenge for it. Like in Rugby.

Sounds like it would be more successful than squibbing it with the new rules.

Their regular kicker injured himself in the first half and couldn't play.

Ah, did see that right enough, pulled his hammy trying a 54 yarder at the whistle. Still, as mentioned in the previous post, was probably intentional to give the guys a chance rugby style but still an anticlimax :(
