    A) The on screen authority figure is done to death and I can't imagine anyone wants to see it. I really appreciate that AEW have avoided it thus far.
    B) That promo was weird and Khan doesn't seem to have any presence or charisma.
    C) Slight tangent but one of my least favourite things about AEW is the way they reference smark ****e like the PWI Top 500, the Observer, and how wrestlers talk about having "good" matches instead of winning.

Didn't say he couldn't promo, I said it was cringe. It was pointless smark popping. Being the CEO of a company and putting out a video calling out some suit from another company based on a report from Dave Meltzer (and name dropping the Observer) and then slapping yourself on the back for having some New Japan matches already is sad in my opinion.

What does it achieve? I'd say the same thing if it went the other way. Then people losing their minds because they tagged WWE on twitter (whooooa!), I think it's nonsense and embarassing tbh, that's just my two cents.

Happy they introduced a bigger women's belt. Didn't like how small the original was.

Maybe was just me, but didn't notice much difference. Was trying to figure out who's had the least memorable reign over the year, Shida or Asuka.

Who was the member of The Factory that held the flag? I know Comoroto, Ogogo and Solow.

Seeing Miro just made me think I wouldn't be surprised to see him do a spinning piledriver or Spinning Clothesline.

Yeah it just looked like a bigger version of the current belt.

The TK Promo was a pretty big indulgence - you see the kid that grew up loving wrestling leak out of Tony every now and again and it's always cringe-inducing cause he just doesn't have the on-screen presence to pull it off. He seems like a good guy and a good leader which is what you want from the CEO but I'd broadly agree with the sentiment that he shouldn't do this sorta thing too often.

However, it's easy "underdog" points for the upstart company to be biting at WWE's heels and there's a reasonable bit of media attention coming out of it so you have to consider it a bit of a win. It's playing into wrestling media's hands by mentioning Meltzer and makes sure it gets increased coverage because of it. Smart business.

I actually like Tony and think that AEW does need some sort of worked-shoot authority presence, to at least distract me from the reality of who is in charge of booking.

And I think with some work he could be ok onscreen, some of his Impact promos were alright.. but he needs to get himself a character then and their is only one character that fits.. dweeb.. heel dweeb with some muscle backing him up

Never a good idea to put the booker on the show. Your wrestling history starter pack will tell you that.

Haven't seen much speculation online for who will be the mystery entrant in the battle royal.

Any rumours? (Probably best using spoiler tags just incase)

There's not much build up in the mystery entrant at all so I'm curious, the Big Show switcheroo would piss me off haha.

Was at the fan fest today, unreal craic and made an impression on Darby, exchanged numbers as we may do a collaboration down the road regarding my band.

Dark taping was today also, good fun. Statlander got a bad one and seemed to possibly have lost some teeth, blood spewing from her mouth at the end. I'll be on camera for most of Dark too, Colt chats to me in the DO entrance and myself and Jack Evans get into it a bit :)

Reports that Bear Country & Mark Sterling have signed contracts to become All Elite.

All Out also to have it's venue announced tonight.

Gotta wonder if Adam Cole will be in the crowd tonight, or backstage.

Anyone know what's the first match tonight? I'm hoping it's the battle casino royale.

Anyone remember when was the casino royal last year?

  • Registered Users Posts: 60,596 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

I'd love to see Moose & Andrade turn up tonight.

    2 hour PPV?? No chance

    I'd say it'll be around 3 - 3 and a half hours.

Skip intros and packages and you get PPV's done in that time easy.

Even shorter still if you skip the young bucks matches :D

    They’re never done by 3

    Usually 3.5 hour shows

Ah c'mon, if that was done the other way around people would be creaming themselves. They take plenty of jabs at each other. I could do without it either way but don't see the outrage here when AEW take shots at WWE.

  • Registered Users Posts: 60,596 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

I'd say the earliest it will finish is 4am.

  • Registered Users Posts: 54,275 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

Dr. Britt Baker is the New AEW Womens World Champion

Sting & Darby Allin defeat Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky

    Miro retains over Lance Archer

    Britt
    Sting/Allen
    Cody
    Hangman
    Pinnacle
    Miro
    Bucks
    Omega

Matches should be fun but results seems predictable in quite a few cases, hoping for some surprises (Bucks to lose hopefully)
