Planning for a week/10 days in July somewhere in America with a 3,9 and 11 year old. Anyone ever do anything like this? Somewhere with Aer Lingus flights?

Plenty for kids to do in LA. Lots of theme parks in the area like Universal, Disneyland, Six Flags, Knott's Berry Farm. Can also explore movie studios as most offer tours (Warner brothers one is very good).

Some excellent beaches like Santa Monica (which has a pier full of attractions), Venice and Malibu.

Aer lingus fly direct from Dublin

Hire an RV then camp and explore Yellowstone, as a bonus there is very little mobile signal in the park

Agreed, can be stiflingly hot in July though.

We went to Yellowstone when my brother, sister and I were all around that age. Was brilliant. We went camping, started on the west coast and drove across stopping at different things along the way. Then camped in Yellowstone.

Not sure kids that young would appreciate Yellowstone or Wyoming in general.

Op was looking for somewhere with direct flights with Aer Lingus, Salt Lake is probably closest major US city to Yellowstone and that's a journey in itself.

We were there in mid June last year. Temps on some days over 30C. There are things you can do about it though, on the hottest day we took the (free) Staten Island ferry. Plenty of shade around too in Manhattan with all those big buildings :D

Boston and cape cod is nice, Boston is a lovely city for a few days and rent a car out to cape cod lots of lovely places. I stayed on Martha’s Vineyard and it’s great. Although could be pricey.

Right. We ended up in Orlando end of June with up to 40C temps. It's hot but it was doable. Everywhere inside is airconditioned, outside go for the shade and drink plenty and the kids won't mind the visits to pools and water parks and the slushies and ice creams :D

Worth looking up Wolters World on Youtube. He has loads of travel advice videos, and whilst many are for outside of the States, he has US ones too. He has a young family and doesn't post clickbait crap.
