    Hi all, we got this as a present over Christmas. Is it a type of Rhodedendron? TIA.

    Hmmm, I am going to throw out Daphne Mezereum as a possibility. The leaves look a little pale and the flowers a little sparse, but...

    Edit - if it is a Daphne the flowers will have a very sweet scent.

    Yes, I too think Daphne. Beautiful scent in the earliest months of the year.

    P.S. All parts of the plant are poisonous.
