Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi

I was just wondering has anyone ever heard or seen sheep wools insulation been bought from from the farmer and washed and made fire retardant themselves?

Just wondering as wool is so low cost these days

You also need to consider borax treatment otherwise you're liable to get an infestation of moths.

When I looked into it, one supplier had switched from that to some kind of non-chemical ionic plasma treatment, whatever the hell that is.

It would be a gunther job and wouldn’t meet the construction products regulations/CE marking requirements etc. So if you do have a fire in the future your insurance company will do a Pontious Pilate and wash their hands.

Fibre insulation is relatively cheap. Buy a certified, CE marked building product as outlined above.
