    Hello,

I bought a HD projector from yourselves, it must be about 6.5 years ago now. It's a JVC D-ILA and I'm very happy with it. I have it set up to display a 100inch picture and use it mostly for movies and sport.

I've been thinking recently about upgrading to 4k but despite a bit of online research am still confused as to whether there are noticeable benefits available within my price-range.

Would ye guys have any views as to what make/model of 4k projector you stock that would provide a step up in picture quality?

    Thanks.

    Hi Facehugger99.

Thanks for coming back to us.

The jump to 4k can make a difference in picture quality.

We have both set up in our demo (Its still out of action at the moment unfortunately) but we have the same movie in both formats that we use to show the difference.

The starting point would be the ViewSonic PX727 coming in at £799 or 999 Euro(Currently in store only collection on this one)
    https://www.richersounds.ie/p-203254-viewsonic-px727-4k-4k-uhd-hdr-dlp-projector.aspx

The Optoma UHD40 is the most pospular one and was 5 star reviewed in What HiFi. We use this as one of our demo units. Priced at £1199 or 1299 Euro
    https://www.richersounds.ie/p-203145-optoma-uhd40-4k-uhd-hdr-dlp-projector.aspx

In between these two would be the Benq W1700 priced at £999 or 1199 Euro
    https://www.richersounds.ie/p-203122-benq-w1700-dlp-projector-hdr-4k-uhd-ready.aspx

All come with our 6 year guarantee free of charge.

You can choose to pay in which ever currency works out to be cheapest for you.

    Let me know your thoughts.
