Cant post link cause im new... but what do Boardies think of this tv for that price... seems like a decent deal...in the market for a new tv but not sure how this compares in the current market.

I bought a 40" LG smart TV, 4k, HDR etc. for about 320 on Amazon last year.

What I've noticed is that often the models available in the shops re a couple of years old. If you want the current one you have to go online.

That's a good price for that model TV.
I prefer dealing with Argos more than any other shop. They'll take the item back and no questions asked even if the box is op-ed.

I saw a flash promo for a 50" for €399 yesterday, not sure of the make though.

I was looking at getting this tv, seen it in store and looked very good!

I know nothing about TVs so just wondering anyone could recommend it or if it’s over priced for what it is compared to the other TVs recommended above on previous posters here?

QLED is definitely a step up in quality compared to the other ones mentioned.

They are Samsung’s premium brand of 4K HDR televisions. They come in four different price tiers which increase in quality and of course price from the Q6 range through to the Q9 range.

That is the 2018 model. Expect newer models to arrived over the next few months but at a higher price then starting at €999 I’d expect.

For reference, last year I purchased a 2017 Samsung Q6 model from Curry’s for €1200 (came with a free Samsung soundbar worth around €300 I think) and the picture quality is very good.

The next step up, Q7 is around €1399.

Nonoperational

Q6 is a fine TV, although if burn in isn't a concern the LGB8 is a significant step up. Got one recently and it's amazing. But it's €1299. The only issues with the QLEDs are the apart from the Q9 they are edge lit like any other LED and the blacks can suffer.
