Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I’d take a 1-0 defeat with no more injuries at this stage. Anything but a draw tbh.

Moreno has been a joke, no wonder nearly every attack from wolves is down that side of the pitch

The line up speaks for itself as to where the priorities lie and I must say that I agree, the squad has improved but we still don't have the depth in the squad to compete in three competitions

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

The full backs are too high, the two front men are not dropping in, the deepest midfielder ends up far too deep too long and no one is looking for anyone.

What kind of idiot closes a thread mid match?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,329 ✭✭✭Ardent

Shambles. This line up was always going to be a disaster against wolves.

Camacho has been more out of position than in it. Moreno brainless as usual. Origi looks like he doesn't care.

Big changes needed unless we're planning on giving wolves a walk in this game.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,373 ✭✭✭robwen

If we get knocked out we might sell Origi

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,664 ✭✭✭dirkmeister

Shearer’s spot on regarding lads having the hump.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,081 ✭✭✭Fromvert

No one showing for the ball at all when the defenders or Milner have it, all standing still or behind their marker.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,287 ✭✭✭✭citytillidie

hmmm Moreno can go now this window he has been crying to play and is just not up to it anymore

No player covered themselves in glory there.

When you look at the back four being 1 nil down to a near full strength Wolves team is a decent result so far.

Camacho a 18 year midfielder playing right back.

Fab a midfielder playing Center back.

Hoever a 16 year left back playing Center back.

    and Moreno.

Origi and Sturridge are dead weight up front.

Disappointed with Keita. Has shown flashes of class but again it's the same issue. He should be taking the game by the bollox but he's not doing enough to link up play.

    Hoever looks very classy.

Mareno giving me flashbacks to unhappier times.

Hoever doing well so far imho.

In a defence of two young lads and a CM Moreno still sticks out as dreadful......

Some truly awful first half performances from some of the bigger names. Kids are doing ok.
No one looking to take the game by the scruff of the neck.

Like myself the players dont seem bothered with the result.

Think that's harsh on Origi. He's trying and making a fair bit of ground....just doesn't have enough about him.

Mig had no chance of saving, and not his fault but decent of him to make himself as small as possible for the shot......did he turn sideways?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,023 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Really disappointed by Shaqiri and Keita, they should be grabbing control of things, but they’re barely even providing options. Jones has gotten himself into trouble by turning back into danger a few times, but usually cause there was no one running in to give him an out ball as he was being closed down.

Mistake aside, Milner has been the only senior player actively putting in effort. Sturridge has been ok, but would like to see a bit more, though he’s not getting the ball much either. But just try to get involved... Origi has been fairly poor all round. Running around a bit, but awful passing, and running into danger unnecessarily.

Hoever has been good, Mig put him in trouble passing the ball to him with two onrushers closing down, but otherwise looks great for 16.

Yeah it's a strange one, you would expect the more experienced lads to try and coax the kids in but as you say, the kid's are looking better than most of the so called "first team"...

    Moreno is watery scutter...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,843 ✭✭✭✭yourdeadwright

Jkids doing ok can never blame them but Jones has froze a bit , Milner ,Keita,Shaq and the front 2 been horrible

So f we went out of the Champion's League against Munich do you not think it would be good to be stlll in the FA Cup?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

We dumped Karius immediately after the CL final, it's a mystery how Moreno's still here when he's had so many howlers, including his own cup final nightmare.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,384 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Milner has been looking his age lately. Not sure I’d like to see him start too many big games from now on.

Not one for conspiracy theories, but it honestly looks like Klopp would be happy to just get out of the Cup now.

Just waiting for the Liverpool bottling it posts if there is no change in the score post when it looks like Liverpool could not be bothered out there

Bit harsh on Milner hes literally had no one to pass the ball to and you can see hes scared stiff of Wolves getting a run at rhe young CB so droppimg very deep and worry about that , no need for him to pick up the yellow but he didnt want the kid getting ran at so pulled him down

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,006 ✭✭✭xabi

Doesn’t want to win it anyway

Senior players, like Studge and Shaq, showing some attitude to the younger lads

Seeing as there was absolutely no highlights from that first half we get to go down Wolves memory lane.

There was offers for Karius there has been none for Moreno.

As i thought, we should've started one of Salah or Mané. Wolves have no pace of note to worry about.

I think his decline is going to be fairly sharp unfortunately.

Origi clearly not looking to impress Nuno tonight

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,843 ✭✭✭✭yourdeadwright

Gotta really question Clyne being let go , With Lovren now injured Gomes ve on full time CB duty who covers for Trent ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,924 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Origi is at least running around a bit trying to win headers.

Sturridge is just sitting at the outer ring of the center circle.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,405 ✭✭✭Sofa Spud

Got to make some changes - the pre-season friendly line-up is not working and as great as it is to see the youngsters have their run out, losing any game is never a good thing

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

Anytime I think of Moreno, I nearly always remember him walking his dog on a hover board thing.....cant believe he's still here....surely some Spanish team would take a risk on him....then again, he's pretty awful....
