Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

They’d probably get beat anyway but it is a bizarre team to select all the same.

Guarantee you those lads are playing against us.

If Jose is a three season manager Sliva is the three month manager.

I'll stick to City winning by 6/7.

Ha ha, if that were to happen Neil Warnock would probably turn up at the FA with a semi automatic and start shooting and shouting about Sheffield United and Fulham.

Fined and docked points, would you ever stop, they can put out whatever team they like.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

The team can’t be any worse than the regular one.

Odd Everton team. Left Richarlison, Sigurdsson and Coleman on the bench.

only one of those im surprised by is Sigurdsson. richarlison is off form, coleman isnt doing great since returning from injury. ive a suspicion Sigurdsson isnt fully fit either

    I wouldn't mind a Souness or Stevie G. A no-nonsense "hon-te f**k" type

As much as I loved Souness as a player, in the modern game he'd spend more time in the stands suspended than he would on the pitch. That's if he didn't get himself changed with murder for one of his tackles.

    City’s bench is unreal tonight.
    Serious squad.
Be class if we win this title

And on top of that, can't really disagree anyway. You can't be playing a luxury number 10 against city, especially when that player has been playing **** for over a month.

They've gone for a solid 3 man midfield instead, which is about the only way they'll get anything out of City.

A bit surprised by Richarlison alright, but Calvert Lewin is a different type of player, and brings more height, which makes sense without a number 10. Expect they'll try to hit him with high balls from distance for him to knock wide to Bernard and Walcott.

I have to believe you're extracting the urine!

    Just a bit :).
I don't think it really matters what Everton team is out

Have downloaded discord but there’s a thread on the subreddit about watching 3 pm games that can get you flowing again.

I think Origi actually broke that club.

Everton going forward were good and they did threaten a few times. Sadly, like most teams, they were like deer in the headlights anytime the ball went into their area

Prefer to give Pickford the credit for that!

Origi deserves the credit after what a player of that club did to his career.

I read Fernanindho is doing his usual can't send me off routine.

    Finally, a overdue booking

Everton deserve more from this game on balance.

    Lol
You said they were favourites before we dropped 6 pts.
You're the only wannabe bookmaker on here......and you also have no clue, as you say yourself :)
A team dropping 6 pts does impact the odds old chap.

City have been far from great tonight but look like they’ll get away with it. They’ll drop more points this season though. They don’t look like a team that are going to brush everyone aside for the rest of the season.

The kind of game you need to win to get the title.

We are going to have to win a hell of alot more of them.

Fair play to Everton, not really dangerous but the effort was unquestionably there.

We've looked far from great ourselves lately and unfortunately haven't gotten away with it.
We look well able to drop mire points ourselves :o

Well there we go, top spot gone and it’ll be impossible to get it back according to to the negativity brigade.

Good stuff from Everton in fairness. The gap in quality was just that bit too much to hold out, but that's the best they've played in 2 months.

Might as well just play the kids now till the end of the season and see if any of them are worth keeping.

Everton gave them a decent game, just didn't have a lot in the final third when they got there but if the rest of their opponents play similarly but are a little more clinical we'll see City struggle in some games. The more often they play difficult games the better.

Now go win on Saturday and take top spot back.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,546 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

    So it''s all over.

That's it, Liverpool's chance is gone and City are champions according to the neutrals.

This also means that this team of bottlers and chokers will never win the league, ever.

I want a 9-0 win this weekend to make up the goal difference, and to shut people up.

    Best regards,

We have a game in hand, and as the saying goes, a bird in the hand and your hand in her bush, or something like that.
Either way we have a job to do Saturday. City have to play another game this week also, toll will tell. Table is an illusion until we play on Saturday.

Even as a fan you would be concerned.

Liverpool are playing very poor at present. They do not look like a team that could win the league.

We have to do our own business. No point in looking at other teams if we can't win ourselves.

Have to win on Saturday. Klopp has to show he can win the league this year.

No more **** draws. No more scoring first and fizzling out.

If he doesn't win Saturday then get Conte. He will drag us over the line this year.

Problem is soon as Newcastle beat City, I finally thought we could/would/should win it, since then it's pretty much gone tits up. Yes it's only 2 draws but it's the manner of them, going ahead in both and playing as if they had lead in their boots, then you have the injuries mounting up, very concerning tbh.
