Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is Lingard still a bigger threat than Mata, awec? :D

They’re in bother now, all three subs made before HT and another couple of players out there who look goosed.

Rashford looking a little slow, Trent on second half.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,205 ✭✭✭fyfe79

4 subs in the first half - when has that ever happened? Also, Rashford looks crocked still. What a bizarre game - a real car crash.

Origi or Shaq should have come on for Fun Bobby.

Would have loved Shaq....speed would have tomented them on the right and Salah into the center

Yet still we have done nothing. Says a lot

Milner having a shocker. Gave it away again there.

This has 1-0 United written all over it.

Matip has been our best player going forward so far. I need to sit down after saying that.

I wonder what that crazy man who thinks Klopp injuries players in training will make of OGS.

25 stone on top of Robertson there. Probably has internal bleeding.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,501 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Oh god, not Andy. Anyone but Andy. We don’t have another professional left back at the club.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,363 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

    This has been terrible.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,948 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Looks a hand injury for Andy so not a huge worry

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,404 ✭✭✭✭Vicxas

    Phew, good man Andy

They've posed a bigger threat than we have and that's with 10 men.

The farce that this has degenerated into hasn't helped us, nor has the lack of consistent games lately.

We need to pull our heads out of our arses 2nd half.

Robertson no selling the Worlds strongest slam.

    Milner very poor.

United look like they're allowing him space to make sure Liverpool give him the ball. He's getting all kinds of room.

We should frame that as a summary of the game.

This has been worse than Red Monday so far.

The subs might’ve hurt our game plan if anything, some really obscure players coming on for them like Pereira and Sanchez. Team talk at halftime will hopefully take advantage of the situation.

    What’s with these long balls?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,586 ✭✭✭cmac2009

Matip should be banned from passing the ball over the halfway line

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Even though they’ve made 3 subs we’ve been affected worse by ours.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,928 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Mane and Salah need to switch sides.

Might as well not have Sturridge on the pitch at this stage.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,395 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

    Dreadful fare.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,318 ✭✭✭ratracer

I’d hook Milner, move Fab to RB and let Keita run at the midfield.

Exactly thumped long past any of our players while they're not even level with the defenders giving them no chance to get it.

I'd hook Milner, these lads need a rollicking. Brutal first half performance

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,404 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

It’s there for us if we’re man enough to take it.

This is shocking , we have been terrible upfront bar bournemouth now since the city game

Scared to put it through midfield.

I don't buy into the 'nerves' thing, but this is looking nervous. Not trust that their combination passing will work.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,509 ✭✭✭✭noodler

    Milner has to go.

    Awful,booked,uselss.going forward atm.

The team lacks complete and utter cohesion, in the rare utd attacks we completely fail to track runners into the box.

    This really is it lads.

Need to keep our bottle now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,843 ✭✭✭✭yourdeadwright

Klopp made a huge error brining on Studge he isn't able for this lecel of football anymore
    Milner is rank today
Robbo wont be back second half , he was holding his arm since he got up

We've no urgency up front the front 2 and whatever DS is at isn't linking or looking to use pace. This is our chance theyve lost 3 to injury and have mctominay and perreira in

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,522 ✭✭✭Pepp1989

TAA on ASAP. Cant be ignored as attacking threat like millie can. Will free up space.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,546 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

    Disappointing so far.

    We're lacking creativity and imagination.

Utd are damaged and there to be put out of their misery. Our players need to have the guile and mentality to do it.

Klopp needs to do his magic at half time.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,843 ✭✭✭dmigsy

What a crap game of football

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,501 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

It’s hard to see them finishing this with 11 men, Mata and Rashford look like ticking time bombs. I wouldn’t usually be the sort to wish injuries on a footballer, but our best chance of winning is if they can’t finish the match, because we’ve been the drizzling shîts today.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,640 ✭✭✭theoneeyedman

Very bitty game. The stop start nature hasn't helped Liverpool at all, United's persistent fouling breaking any attempt at rhythm. Liverpool have been poor, too direct if anything. Going to have to decide whether we stick or twist here. TAA will give us width, Shaq or Naby more nuanced in midfield.
As I said before, there are 3 points here.

Realistically looks like we had no choice on who to start at RB. It's easy to say "if he's fit enough for the bench he's fit enough to start" but Lingard just showed how much of a fallacy that is.

They need a bollocking at HT but that's all. No changes needed yet.

Lukaku landed heavily on Robertson, "he could have killed him".

They'd have settled for a draw before the game, even more so now after the injuries so can't blame them for shutting up shop.

Milner been poison. Has to be hooked here. Salah and Mane need to do more. We've been tame.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,395 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Feck knows what they do on those warm weather training camps but they’ve done absolutely nothing for our attacking fluency.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,068 ✭✭✭Tipsy McSwagger

United there for the taking but our forward play has been atrocious. I’d hook Milner & Hendo for Shaq & TAA.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,882 ✭✭✭✭klose

Trent had a poor game midweek and I can see why klopp put milner in but it really hasn't worked yet, booked and has messes every good opportunity he gets down his side of the field.

It's a poor result here if we don't win given the circumstances.

Ffs this is poison. We don't look like scoring at all. If Trent is fit he should come in for Milner.
They actually look more likely to score.
    Come on redmen...big half needed

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,407 ✭✭✭facehugger99

    I think we’ll win this.

Fab head and shoulders above any other player on the pitch.

He going to some player for the club in the seasons to come.

The game is there for the taking.

Too much overplaying it around their box. Milner has been shocking. I'd hook him. On a yellow too.
